I am 73 years old and I suffer from this condition and this guy doesn't know what he's talking about I've done all these different things for decades the condition is more like being colorblind than something you can work around this handicap is more like something on a spectrum like that of autism even be a form of autism ancient be treated like that this guy and most medical professionals treated as a form of dysgraphic rather than autism that's why I just been very little advancement in treatment do treating this condition with the same approaches they did in 1950s no true advancements have been advanced due to the fact that it's rare misunderstood and there's no financial gain Ford Medical Institute and 99 of the people suffering are not aware of it or how to deal with it especially when you go through your life being treated like you're some kind of handicapped illiterate because you can't write the written word do you have any idea how hard it is to go through Society with this handicap being treated like you're illiterate ignorant

Writing is a challenge for me Varying sizes of letters, mixing capitals and lower case, forming an arc and perspective distortions, transposing letters in words, merging two or more words together, leaving some letters out I suspect the combination of Hyperlexia and Dysgraphia my brain is constructing the sentence faster than my hand can move Whole words, sentences and paragraphs form in my mind in a mix of spoken words, text, images, choreographed movement, locations, one or more people, processes and procedures even multiple complex concepts sometimes Converting all that into hand gestures on a page, my hand can't keep up with my thoughts as write each letter individually Typing has been a life savior, every letter is one simple tap Keyboards allow me to keep up with the speed of thought

I've struggled with terrible handwriting dysgraphia my whole life (along with my inattentive ADD) For this reason, I've always been extremely grateful that I was born into the era of keyboards I have no problem translating my thoughts into words, I just have an issue with my fine-motor skills Drawing is also incredibly difficult for me too

when i was working as a paramedic in my 30s another medic saw my charting and told me I had dysgraphia because h has it>>>> thanks American school system who made me feel like I was stupid or lazy diagnosed with autism at 50 i cant imagine what life I would have had if someone has noticed when I was young and I could have gotten some help

My dysgraphia is so bad I started typing my notes in the 7th grade in 2003 I didn’t discover it was a thing until the 2010s I was diagnosed with adhd early but I only knew about dyslexia at the time, because I was excellent at reading I never knew I could have a different version of the disorder

Man if it turns out that have dysgraphia on top of my dyscalculia and ADHD ima hit the ceiling I'm 27 and I have been struggling with my learning disabilities since I was a child

When i was a child I had dysgraphia I slowly got better All of my professors thought and told me to my face I was stupidbrI would switch numbers in math problems, and i would always fail tests even though I would spend hours and days studying

I just learned what dysgraphia is and I've been researching it for the past 3 hours, I'm an adult with dysgraphia - or at least I think I am - however I have no issue with spelling, grammer or typing ( I type 130 wpm )brbrbrI've yet to find any resources on how to improve my writing and overcome this disability, it's really starting to weigh me down after all these years I always avoided writing; always used a laptop to keep notes, write down ideas, but I'm finding that I can't go on like this and I just need to learn how to writebrbrbrAnyone have any pointer?
