The best way to check, before you actually pull one off the rack, is to run your fingers across the barcode Most cards will have an embossed barcode that you can feel You can gently lift up the packaging and make sure there isn't a sticker as well

The easiest way to prevent from buy any tamper card(s) is to either buy it from the cashier at the store They storage some cards near them The other way is to buy the gift cards online These cards are in bulk package and inspected with scans back of all the cards to check if any card has been tampered with before processes into the bulk packages and send them to customers by mail

I work at a call center for a retail company I get 20 to 25 calls a day from people who buy our gift cards and try to use them for the first time, and there is no balance They are shocked to find out there nothing we can do about it I have to tell them that the cards are treated like cash If you withdraw $100 from your bank account and you lose it, or someone steals it, you can't go back to the bank and expect them to replace the $100

Uff, thanks for the video The way they scammed us was they scratched out some the 16-digit numbers so we couldn't purchase anything with the card or check the balance The 1-800 number is worthless Guess I should have not taken the easy route and instead put some thought into my kid's gifts lol These cards get funded as soon as you purchase them, so if you don't use them right away the chances of beating them to the punch is slim Bought mine at a Walgreens, so it's not just Walmart

You have one thing wrong is that you have the original card in hand they simply take pictures or keep in note the original card number and they scratch off the 3 digits cvv code and or the last 4 digits in the front brAnd they démagnétised the swipe so it make it unusable !!!😢
