what a great video! another tip - I also land up saving up on unnecessary expenses like atm fees etc there - using apps like ATM Fee Saver - it helps find atms with no fees or lower fees than others along with withdrawal limits etc worth adding to your list of tricks!

Loved the video Good information to know since we are planning to travel for a year around Asia when we retire in 5 years This travel will include Australia, New Zealand and Fiji Any tips which country we should go first and the best month to go? We do want to avoid monsoon seasons, we don't mind snow since we are used to it I'm sure the cost will be different in five years And do you have any countries that you highly recommend and why?

Nice informative video, I miss South East Asia, back in 2005 I travelled through south East Asia, I remember Vietnam being so cheap, really hard to spend money, sounds like it’s still a bargain place to travel, some of the best food ever, and rich in culture

I'm currently saving up for my trip and in about 12 months time I'll have a little over 17,000 Euro, which is about $20,000, so this video lifted a weight off my shoulders My girlfriend will also have about 15,000 Euro I dont know why I was so worried that 17k wasn't enough, I suppose I'm just so used to everything being so expensive in Ireland lol Now let's just hope that we can actually travel again next year 😅

Brilliant Video, thank you! my boyfriend and I are looking to travel for a year and we have said we will try to save around double the amount you spent for a year in ££ We are looking to visit mostly South/central America and south east Asia We’re also thinking about extending the trip if we’re able to with a working holiday visa in Aus and with what you’ve said I feel more confident it’s doable as we live on a budget mostly anyway 😊
