I just threw a rear tire on my ‘24 tiger 900 RP and I gotta say, your review is spot on with my experience so far I just rode it in the rain on the highway and aside from the road groves, I never felt unstable Love the content Keep it up! Comment from : @tonyvandyke7588 |
Thanks! Comment from : @rona291 |

Hi Ian, I am here in SoCal as well and interested in a set of these for my WR250R but I am on the fence about the front Hows the cornering grip on the front? Is it predictable and manageable, as expected for a 70/30 tire, or does it want to break loose and washout? Comment from : @hbwesman20 |
Wondering when they'll have the tusk adventure tires in 19" front and 17" rear for super tenere Comment from : @RonnieBonner-zt8uz |
Will be interesting to see if the stiff sidewall is going to be an issue on my lighter weight 701 I have a set scheduled to deliver later today High hopes this will become my go to tire Comment from : @secondarymachine7521 |
Why does the TC light up on the highway? Comment from : @AmbassadorEarl |
these tires just got recalled are you going to make an announcement or video about the recall for all those riders who bought this tire? Comment from : @ScottsMotoAdventures |
That Transalp with the aftermarket exhaust sounds great! Comment from : @willywinket |
does the front squirm around ?? Comment from : @justsomedude445 |
Thinking about throwing a set on my DR650 to see how long they last on the lighter bike I do mostly road riding and class 4 roads in Vermont and seldom single track in the woods cuz of my old age lol Comment from : @momoski68 |
My rear Tusk Dsport makes so much noise at about 50 wear Really like the tires, but looking hard at these Haven't looked yet, hopefully they have the size available for my Gen 1 KLR Comment from : @RedEyedJack |
Are you sure the backtire have the right direction mounted, for me it's look wrong after 6 min in the video Comment from : @johandaveus3736 |
I have these on my Africa Twin Adventure Sport DCT Great tires Comment from : @mojo4376 |
I know you and Bradshaw being from California have mostly sand to ride in but being from the East we have mud and clay and I wonder how they would perform in those conditions Thanks Comment from : @dandersonjr |
As long as you can do a BDR and not need a new tire to get home these sub 3K mile tires are trash Comment from : @davedonedis |
very good Review I hope I can get them for my Africa Twin in Germany as well Comment from : @dkdjszudbdiiusushajjjaauu2644 |
Motoz killer 💥 Comment from : @XLAdvRider |
Great review as usual the more competition the better looks like a top ten for sure , and pricing will only make them more adorable Comment from : @ADVScott342 |
tusk 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Comment from : @keijidan2276 |
Id like to see how these compare to the mitas e-07 Comment from : @orangerider2827 |
Was planning on a Motoz combo, but now seriously thinking about these Thanks for the review Ian Comment from : @marcusplyon |
Hey Ian, what bag do you have on your luggage rack? I like it and want to buy one Comment from : @papaduck2443 |
How do they handle on highway? Comment from : @greenrush4313 |
How does the Tusk 2track front compare to the Motoz dualventure? I get a slight wobble from my dualventure front tire, especially on road, when the tire is unloaded Comment from : @alexmoreno8156 |
Tusk has been making a lot of good value oriented products This looks like a winner that will challenge Kenda Big Block tires and Shinko 804/805 tires From the thorough first impressions, my biggest concern is the stiff sidewall I change my own tires and I don't do it often enough to have a motorcycle tire changing station I assume Tusk will have 17/19 inch versions soon Comment from : @UltralightMotorcycleCamping |
I use a hair dry to help mount my tires Just put it inside on full blast in the tire you want to mount and once it's nice and hot mount it It helps a lot really make the tire alot more pliable Comment from : @skidmorep13 |
The new Tusk 2Track tire arrived today So looking forward to using it next month at the Palmetto ADV rally in South brCarolina Thank you very much for the work and information you get out to us 2 wheeled nut jobs! Well done Ian! Comment from : @SwabbyG |
Great review, you're so lucky with the variety of terrain you've got on your doorstep Comment from : @trailingarm63 |
ordered this tire based on your feedback for my honda atas and will let you how they last long term on a heavyweight adv bike well done video! Comment from : @SwabbyG |
19 front and 17 back Please! KTM 390 Adventure Comment from : @glennmcguire5571 |
I’ll see if they make it in 500X size haha Comment from : @scubarubanzaii |
16:29 tramlining we call it in the UK Comment from : @cliff1551 |
Would you put them on a husqvarna 701 LR mate Comment from : @cliff1551 |
You not got any creeks you can climb out of Comment from : @cliff1551 |
6:26 kyle thought these tires not good Comment from : @cliff1551 |
The price when compared to the MotoZ is a big plus I hope you do a long term test I’d like to know how long I can expect them to last, how they wear, noise, etc Thanks Comment from : @MichaelWhittington-s2t |
I'm sold time to retire the shinko 604605 Comment from : @onewetwilly-b1k |
Looking fwd to the tubeless conversion video Comment from : @mmihai87 |
Adv bike tires are such a weird thingbrRiding area, riding ability, bike size and powereverything is different for everyone brMy 1190 has alot of power and literally breaks loose with tc off at any speed on anything other than pavement brMy favorite tirefor wear and performance has been the Motoz TractionatorbrBut in Canada its now 450 to 500C$brI cannot justify that for a tire that last 5k km or less under my usebrStill looking for the unicorn adv tire😂brCheap, long lasting, available in Canada Comment from : @rodjbosch |
I prefer stiff sidewalls You can actually make it out of the woods with a flat if you are not aggressive Comment from : @Dave-sw2dm |
Be interested in knowing what this tire weighs opposed to the Motoz Comment from : @wfodavid |
I saw that shimmy going over that crack Comment from : @z50king29 |
Dang that's a deep center knob Comment from : @z50king29 |
Those those interestedTusk also has a more aggressive ADV tire : DSports Comment from : @WinifredMulvey |
Im shopping for tires for my AT I ride mostly highway but do some motocamping up in the woods Ive got motoz adventure tires on now and the front tire sounds like a screaming rabbit Its not rideable How are these on the road? Any suggestions fof tires that arent the dunlop trailmax mission? I dont like the front tire Doesn't stay planted off road Comment from : @areess6209 |
I just got a set for my T7 now waiting for winter to end so i can try them out Great review Comment from : @elderrider9298 |
I love your giddy laugh and chuckles when you accelerate hard on almost any bike Your enthusiasm is inspiring, that could be your trademark Like Bret Traks helmet to hat switch 😊 Comment from : @noidreculse8906 |
Since they are stiffer sidewall, you might want to air down a little to gain back your traction Not a lot but enough to match the deflection you are used to with the Motos Comment from : @toddsorel-pg4hr |
I really liked the Tusk D-Sports on my 690 I'll bet these tires are great Comment from : @johnkoko |
With the wear on the MOTOZ tires you took off, I’m curious how many miles you put on them They looked about half worn out Comment from : @deltabravo1257 |
of your first impressions, would you run this tire on the COBDR? I have a set of these tires and the RallZ I'm just thinking that the stiffer sidewall on the 2 Track will be better in CO to guard against pinch flats I will be on my T7 Comment from : @BigDaveTALKS |
Tip for seating the bead on tubeless tires: use a big bicycle pump Electric or compressed air pumps are better generally, but they don't produce the instantaneous pressure pulse of a large piston cheap bicycle pump Comment from : @gregshell9273 |
“One of the stiffest I have had to mount” That’s what she said… Comment from : @louieoldtale3378 |
With such stiff sidewalls I’d consider lower pressure off-road and might improve the feel especially in comparison to the Rallz Comment from : @pilotobob66 |
HeybrWill they be coming to Europe? Comment from : @kristapseglitis4761 |
Thanks Ian for the great review on the tires I think i might new tires later this year, i will consider these Comment from : @advredbikes |
Great video Well said I would have bought them already but I have several rallz spares Waiting for the best tire reviewer on the planet @kylebradshaw Comment from : @TheFoxyt2 |
I have close to a million miles on bikes 45 years of street and dirt dual sport bikes gsxr 1000, and hayabusa up to honda goldwing I have been down four times and could not blame anyone of them on budget tires or top quality tires IMO Comment from : @duanneblouin7148 |
Always good to have more brands out there Not keen on the look of the front tyre, the knobs don't look staggered enough or with large enough gaps in between to prevent lateral movement on looser surfaces One of the biggest tests for 'budget' adventure tyres on the road, is wet/damp weather performance, and maintaining performance in both wet and dry during wear Comment from : @defylifeadventure |
Besides ridi g in the left lane while on the Highway - left lane is a passi g so on and so forth (you know the lines - but apparently are not aware of the lane 😉); great report I just got my rear Motoz for my 690 enduro from ROCKY Mountain Season 2025, I'll give them à try CheersbrPs pass on the left lane, move back to the right lane, immediately Comment from : @sircooper1963 |
is that rear tire on the right way round? looks like good tread depth anyway, i run the motoz adventures Comment from : @glenns001 |
Big Rock Moto, I really hope you get to test the new AJP PR7 soon Now they have really sorted the fuelling and other teething problems of 19 model, at 166KG wet weight with 17 litres of fuel onboard and 300 mm of suspension travel it is one hell of an adventure bike right out of the box Comment from : @jamesfairmind2247 |
Will these be available in the UK I wonder? Comment from : @FourIntoOne |
How did you make the rims tubeless? Comment from : @human1513 |
They looks similar to Continental TKC 70 Rocks rear and TKC 80 front setup Comment from : @fredrik999z |
10:20 Thanks for the rear tire cam I suggested it in one of the video and it’s so helpful to actually see how the tire works Keep up the brilliant work Ian Comment from : @thanhto3023 |
Rain Comment from : @thebeardedlegend4773 |
I have the Motoz Rally on the rear of my 800 GS and the dual venture on the front and I get quite a shimy going on if I hit any roughness or cracks at around 130 - 140 kph, lowering the pressure to 24 psi seems to help a bit Comment from : @jeffdale5007 |
Will they fit on your Klx 300? My ride mostly on the road but I still wanted to be good in the dirt or better than the stock Comment from : @albertgonzales5857 |
Great video! Would be great to hear your thoughts on a comparison between the dirt v street rabaconda when you get onebrI am currently trying to decide which one to buy Comment from : @rl8701 |
Got a front I plan to mix with a 140/70 on my T7 Comment from : @longbow0728 |
I totally disagree that the may be the best budget adv tires… Simply because the likes of a GS, SAR 1290 or a Multistrada have almost double the torque that a Transalp… I really want them to be reliable tires cause I’m cheap as heck but that’s a different discussion 🤣🤣🤣 Love the shots of the rear wheel!!👌👌 Comment from : @MRGS48 |
Good to know! I've been wanting to get some RallZ for my tuareg but since i currently don't have a job i figured I'd keep the stock tires for now, these might be a good option for now cause I have riding to do Comment from : @humech |
like their tires, but really stiff to installmight try the zip tie on next set Comment from : @retiredwaterdoctor |
Oh, oh, It's Big Rock Moto time! Comment from : @TwoHawksHunting |
You should go to burning man next year Ian I hear they have mud to spare Comment from : @seanhewitt2521 |
“Tubeless, I may have messed it up” You are humble and honest You are one of us Thank you Comment from : @jackm108 |
You compare these two tracks to the rallz They are probably more in the vein on the tractionator adventure, and less like the rallz? Comment from : @coryluck |
I feel like they are a bit too hard for cooler weather Comment from : @AT2021Rocker |
Stiff sidewall, hard to mount and 36 PSI? That sounds horrible ha ha ha Why so high of a pressure especially with a tubeless system? 20-25 off road unless your smashing rocks at speed would provide more traction and feel I've been through hundreds of tires and the stiff hard to mount ones always disappoint me They seem to deflect and slide a lot A generalization I know but has been pretty consistent If I'm buying an aggressive DS/ADV tire it absolutely has to perform above average off road or there is no reason to get it I just mounted some Motoz (again) and they really do the 50/50 thing well Good stuff, thank you Comment from : @Motosportz |
Put the tires in warmers before you mount them It makes a big difference Comment from : @sharrison56 |
Thanks Ian I hope they make in sizes for my KLR I just got some Shinko 805 last summee, but they make them in rear 17" I might have to get a set Comment from : @christophepoteaux3932 |
The Trans sounds so awesome Comment from : @nwpia |
Look like a chonkier version of shinko "golden boys" 😊 Comment from : @dstubby82 |
Like the look of both Wonder if they will make it downunder ? Comment from : @ShadowVonChadwick |
Interesting tires and test--I may try a pair on my R1250 GSA QUESTION: When can we expect and test and installation video on the DMD2 navigation device you're sporting? THAT is likely going to be my next $$$ purchase and since not vary well covered on this side of the Atlantic, enquiring minds need to know--worth the money or? Comment from : @rayfriedman6107 |
I personally run 2 track on the front and a tusk dsport on the rear front tire has a buzz at low speeds but great in mud front tire Comment from : @voxalto2392 |
