LOL as of December 24th 2020 Amazon stock is now trading at $3,17269 so value investing is dead cuz it's PE ratio is now even higher than it was when this video was made and the stock has gained nearly $1,000 per share so yeah that's the difference between quote value investing and growth investing and I suspect that a year from now but Amazon stock will be trading for 4 or even $5,000 per share Warren Buffett's method of value investing was a new and cutting and Innovative idea when he invented it in like the 60s it's a little outdated these days though unfortunately thanks to technology you see the problem with technology stocks is that it's almost entirely growth and the physical assets of the company you're virtually non-existent so a PE ratio is no longer a truly useful tool unless of course you want to evaluate the value of Exxon or a shipping company or an airline or something you know something that owns physical possessions Comment from : Nathan bond |
