I fish the surf quite a bit, and I can't imagine carrying all of my tackle loose in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket I use a backpack for all of my tackle This makes walking to your spot or climbing on rocks MUCH easier
And if you're going to bring that much extra line with you to the beach, you might as well just bring a second spool all ready to go
