I ordered this based on yr review Always enjoy 3 girls in the big city scenario & this is perfect when you just want something pretty & happy Am new to Jean Peters & I really like her in this And you’re so right, the heat betw her & Rossano WOWZA I love the look of these films, so vivid & glamorous By the way, my order came with ‘The Goodbye Girl’ I forgot how good this movie was Might be worth a review sometime?? Comment from : Maree Simonis |

Great review Found this in an op shop (thrift store in Australia) last week Never heard of it before! Comment from : nudge2626 |

For me the song makes this picture Rome and Naples are my favorite cities Comment from : ThePiratemachine |
Lucky, it’s my dream to visit Rome someday Comment from : Anita Richmond |
The first half an hour into the film, I wanted to give up because it was too slow and the storyline hadn't kicked in yet Glad I picked it up again and the plot began to be more interesting Comment from : Anti-life & Birth is Anti-suffering & Death |
I was in Italy twice Once for my junior year abroad and once as a professor of Art History in Florence teaching Renaissance art It changed my life Comment from : Stanley Costello |
I just discovered you where have you been? I was laughing out Comment from : Olivia Merlos |
I wish these videos were longer! Comment from : mrgeeization |
2:15 That's the same set, slightly redecorated, as Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe and Betty Grable's apartment in "How to Marry a Millionaire" Comment from : sprague49 |
Rossano Brazzi was soooooo handsome Comment from : Björnar Dohm |
Don't forget, they invented the whole "Toss a coin into the fountain and make a wish" idea with this film Nobody had ever thrown money into the Trevi fountain before this movie came out Comment from : william g |
Milton Krasner's cinematography also won an Oscar Comment from : James Matthews |
Why they cast Clifton Webb is so strange to me; hard to see that lovely woman being in love with an old stuffy man like him We know now too that Webb was as Gay as Rock Hudson but more discreet Did his secretary have blinders on? All those gorgeous Italian men were invisible She's played off like she on the verge of being "an old Maid" ! YupHollywood crates such an artificial world brSo the theme here is; Women need a man to be whole and it sells this idea hard I guess having a Lesbian in this film would have been more than Taboo but brought down a Ban from the Church and investigations from Congress How things have changed Comment from : Robert Giles |
I just love those early Cinemascope 20th Century Fox offerings where they often had six major stars side by side on screen Comment from : David Allen |
Thanks for your review! Comment from : seanwithaw2 |
While I love Louis Jourdan and Rossano Brazzi in this movie, Clifton Webb’s waspish and officious character coupled with Dorothy McGuire’s steadfast, under appreciated and largely ignored but romantic secretary, just made the plot a little less ho-hum…Nonetheless, gorgeous Italian CinemaScope scenery❤️ Comment from : outercyberia |
I loved this movie despite the fact that Miss McNamara annoyed me throughout the whole movie I am so sorry to hear that she killed herself Comment from : bovnyccc operalover |
This movie is lovely and OMG Rossano forever!! ❤️❤️😍😍❤️❤️ Comment from : Flower R |
Thank you for another wonderful video I always liked Miss Maggie, she did remind me of Audrey Hepburn who I just adore I’m sorry she had such a miserable life Speaking of people with miserable life’s, Connie Francis did a version of Three Coins In The Fountain and as a kid I loved it Stay safe and see you at the movies Comment from : Steven Cheatham |
If I had my way, I'd get the Castro Theater to book you for a month every year for a TOQ Film Festival About ten years ago, I went to see "South Pacific" there in Todd-AO Quite by accident, I was sitting down right in back of two young lovelys One of them said, "I just don't know WHY you dragged me here for this OLD movie" But after seeing Rossano Brazzi in wide screen, Lovely #1 kissed Lovely #2 and said, "You were rightagain" I have to believe that if you and Johnny introduced these boys to "Three Coins in the Fountain" and "Meet Me in St Louis" and "Auntie Mame" wth YOUR perspective on cinema that popcorn sales at the Castro would triple And, the local bars would kiss your ring, too! Comment from : William Snyder |

Beg to differ from your comments made about the use of Cinemascope by 20th Century Fox brThe first movie ever made in CinemaScope was a movie called "The Robe" in 1953 and the brsecond movie made by 20th Century Fox in 1953 was produced by British Movietonews, brFox owned British company, the movie was called "Flight of the White Heron" reflecting brQueens Elizabeth 11 tour of the Commonwealth Countries Australia and New Zealand, brtherefore making the forth CinemaScope movie Third CinemaScope movie not the brsecondSorry to correct Steve Hayes,brCan't close without mentioning Milton R Krasner who won Best Cinematographers at the brAcademy Awards - Wonderful Work Comment from : RONALD COLLINS |
Judy Garland's "Man That Got Away" was overwrought, like almost everything she recorded Ella Fitzgerald did it better Comment from : AG C |

I'll always remember Maggie McNamara as Bunny Blake, the "Ring-a-Ding Girl" in that great Twilight Zone episode Comment from : TheCatgirl6 |
You picked the moment in Summertime where I also found Brazzi at his alluring best Slouched in the chair and dreaming WOOOOOFs brGotta state, though, that I did not find this movie enjoyable but I'm sure that's just me Few films about Americans in post war Europe have attracted me much Summertime and Separate Tables being two of the exceptions Comment from : JackOffAllTrades/MasterOfBuns |
Just wondering if you put the work that you are commenting on first in the title, it might encourage more people to click on the video All the videos say your name first and it is hard to differentiate if you are a casual viewerbrbrJust a suggestion I found your channel searching Maggie Smith and Prime of Miss Jean Brodie I agreed with the review It really is one of the most extraordinary performances on film of any actress Comment from : David |

Love you so much, Steve! Those 50s escapist movies are just in a league of their own - like To Catch A Theif - Hitchcock's least exciting, most lackluster and unfunny film, but with those visuals and costumes, who needs a good script?brThis 23 year old from Vancouver loves your videos, I'm so glad you're continuing to make them! No one does classic movies justice like you do Comment from : oldmoviemusic |
