My entire stack is Canadian gold maples and variants of them like polar bears foxes hawks and 1812 war memorial I like them I really think Canadian collectable gold is the best gold in the entire globe But it is too premium I never buy them sadly 50 percent spot sometimes even 100 percent spot

Imo, the maples are the most beautiful of the all the popular gold coins A buffalo is the only other one I'd consider buying I wont stack an eagle or krugerrand because of the purity, it would cost extra money from a bullion standpoint if it were to be melted down n order to get rid of impurities I do realize the eagles are premium because they are so easy to sell and so popular, but I still have to hold 9999 haha Just my opinion, I know many people love the eagles and they are great stacking coins, but I'm a maple man all day! One day I'll get my hands on a RCM 99999 coin

I agree with you on excessive premiums for gold I won't spend $80 in premium for a 1/4 AGE, for example, when any coin shop is going to offer me maybe $10 or $20 over spot when I can buy the Maples for much, much less Worst case scenario is that I take a future fishing trip to Canada and sell the Maples there brbrJust like silver: $12 premium on the ASE? No, thanks! I'll buy the Krugs

@stormy, what is your opinion on the krugerrand compared to the maples ? I love the maple leafs but my local coinshop recomenden me for the krugerrand cause they have a hard time getting the maples here from across the ocean
