sounds like neither one is better than the other, they are simply 2 different tools for 2 different jobs Do you often need to clean heavily soiled clothes fast at the trade off of the clothes wearing out faster and don't care about noise? Or would you rather have a more "gentle on clothes" washer that takes a little longer if you have plenty of time, and prefer less noise and want your clothes to last longer, and you don't usually wash heavily soiled clothes

There are no disadvantages to Speed Queen products In my opinion They are more expensive because they are made better and last longer I bought a $1000 front loader made by Electrolux that lasted 18 months That’s not much less than a speed queen I am very glad I bought my speed queen It’s worth it It’s just worth it It’s not fancy It doesn’t hook up to WiFi It just works Buy one See for yourself 😊

Lefty-Logic - force HE machines because they use less water, but they don't clean clothes well brbrSo, you run 2 cycles each with a 2nd rinse cycle to get clothes fairly clean, but not AS clean as old machines did and the machines last about 1/4 as longbrbrTo get OK results with the newer HE machines, you end up using MORE water, MORE electricity and putting more detergent into the water supplybrbrIt's ALMOST as if the politicians were being funded by lobbyists from appliance and soap manufacturers and couldn't care LESS about what's best for consumers or the environment

I have the TR5 coming today --- and I know I'm old when I can't wait for a new washer to arrive! 😄😆 Had a Whirlpool Cabrio for 9 years from Sears, but that thing gave me constant aggravation almost from day 1 Never quite happy with how it cleans But especially in the past 3 months, plastic hub failures/replacements - seems the steel shaft was the cause of that Anyway, final straw and It's just time to get that headache out my basement! brbr**oh, the 5 year warrantywow! As compared to the lame 1 yr warranty on that old Cabrio Just a no brainer to get something that seemes to be built very well from all the reviews I've seen!)

Just bought the classic clean but the clothes are super wet compared to my old one In the dryer the clothes would dry in 35 minutes or less On the two loads I did today it took over 2 hrs to semi dry Not very happy 😢

We replaced a cheap old whirlpool washer with a speed queen 4 years ago The whirlpool lasted about 8 years Its been a horrible experience The washer is not nearly as good, clothes are not as clean and you have to do more loads because of the small size After only 4 years there is a load moaning noise that sounds like a whale and it kills during the spin cycle The warranty was only 3 years Wish i didnt fall for the 25 year expectation Steer clear of these things and go for a better warranty with trusted manufacturers Something changed with these machines a few years back and I should have heeded the warning
