One thing with mining is consumer gpus are not clocked for efficiency out of the box And on top of that a 3070 is just a more effecent design than an higher tier gpubrbrBut lets just use the 3090 as a example it can do 120mh on eth at just less than 300w When clocked for efficiencybrbrQuite a big difference from 450w for 110mhbrbrAlthough if properly used I feel like apple silicone would be very efficent

I would expect mining with it will be good because after all mining is very memory intensive and the m1 ultra has very high speed memory(even higher bandwidth than 3090 even though the cores is not as great)

The M1 Ultra GPU has over double the transistors of a 3090, maybe even 3X But they power limit the M1 Ultra to 100W brThe M1 Ultra is a GPU with an embedded CPU The CPU would be about the transistors count of a 16 core Ryzen if you had the CPU on the chip Roughly 20B Instead this chip is coming in at 114 Billion Even if we double the Ryzen Count, to allow for other coprocessors, that’s still 74Billion transistors just for the GPUbrbrThis is well over double the transistor count of the 3090 brbrThe 100 W TDP is killing this part They should be able to get better performance out of this with half the number of transistors if they just let the part use more power This basically has the same amount of power going to it as an RX6500XT
