The Churchill Crown is not even worth 25p, since only those Crowns issued after decimalisation and before the value was increased to five pounds are still legal tender at 25p However, it is now almost worth 25p for its metal content, since nickel is now quite valuable

What a poor investment they turned out to be, all making a loss after inflation, apart from the 1960 crown, which just about kept pace with inflation

Got most of these except the 1960 one When compared to inflation the other 6 have lost 75 of their value in real terms, if not more Pre 1970 5 bob would have bought you a lot!
