❓Question❓ I found a 1855 gold coin that has Blake & Co Across the top and Assayers across the bottom with a 20 in the middle on the other side it has a vice press in the middle and reads California gold across the top Sac on the left side on the bottom is 20 Dolls spelled that way right under the handle of the vice press on the left side is smv under the handle on the right side is 900 but I haven't been able to find any info about it? Assuming is not a forgery, the shipping price so expensive can be due to insurance Many dealers have private insurance that is not reflected on postage so if the coin is lost, nobody loses their money This may be true with large dealers particularly those who deal with actual rarities In the US postal insurance is expensive and for a 1000 dollar coin you may be paying 35 dollars easily depending on other postal services added To assume that coins should pay only 5 euros on postage is aistake I think You do not want to learn this lesson the hard way Comment from : Javier Meade |
