That price has more than doubled in 4 years, I bought about 6 dozen of the Srixon soft balls 4 years ago for $12 a dozen …now in 2024 they cost $22 a dozen Apparently they were trying to get golfers interested in this maker and now I see lots of golfers using these balls…

The thing about good golfers is that a soft ball around the greens will help you shoot a couple strokes lower consistently because they can stop the ball on the green, and they are good enough to control their drives with all that spin, a forgiving driver is nothing compared to a low spin ball to a beginner golfer

I looked up the compression rating for Srixon Distance and two different sites said 89 - not the softest ball out there! You swing harder than most amateurs so I suspect you're getting more distance out of this ball than the average weekend player would

Ive used the Soft ones for Donkeys(Blue box) The red ones are like bullets but ideal for High Handicappers Try the tour balls, If there ok for Migel Jeminez there ok for me

I have played golf on and off for a few years, mainly to get a day off work playing in charity days but over the past few months actually started taking it a bit more seriously As now a Mid/High handicapper these balls are great I cant rip a ball back I generally lose one every now and again, I can hit it 300yds down the middle I can knob it 10 yards into a bush but I bought 2 dozen of these last week from Hazel Grove AG for less than £25 You really cant argue its a very decent ball for the price point

A great comparative test between an economical ball and a premium ball Rick! I play Srixon including: Distance, Soft Feel, Marathon, AD 333 I believe all of them are two piece balls great for distance, but not so good for "stopping on the greens" As a senior golfer, this is what I have opted for I'll let the younger guys use the premium ball

Its a great ball being a high spinning so ideal for that 95MPH club speed striker, brthere is a list of matching quality balls out there too for £650 / dozenbrGreen control, just stick what ever ball you decide and stay with it you will be fine

I have played with both and yeah, for the price, the Srixon hits extremely well and will go far I still think the Pro - V1 hits better, but that should be expected with it's price I never buy Pro-V1's, but find them on courses a lot

the pro v was longer, softer feeling, the only real difference was price i have used distance balls and i can hit them farther but i didn't score any better because what you make up in distance you lose in feel i guess it's in the eye of the beholder

Thanks for the comparison its been useful I used to use Pro vs untill I found that some of the srixon (ad333 qstar ) actually gave me 15,20 yards more I think its because of my swing speed isn't fast enough for pro vs as I'm average 90mph 🤔
