I use the boiling water in an aluminum foil lined pan with lots of baking soda Gets rid of the tape too A short vinegar bath gets rid of unwanted toning

Thanks Daniel I've used Go Gone to remove tape as well It's a petroleum distillate with a citrus additive As long as you don't leave it on the coin for more than a minute, it's fine Of course I would not use it on a US (or other country) minted coin But for rounds who cares! :-)

Q-Tips are a very important tool, which can also cut down the amount of silver dip you use They are excellent with acetone to help remove glues as acetone alone will evaporate before the job gets done
