Don't think this is a very good idea BTC is volatile, and it's not a good idea to be relying on volatile funds to pay your monthly expenses If BTC crashes in price, I don't want to have to sell it at suppressed prices just to pay bills I'll stick with buying and holding BTC in cold storage and simply buying BTC with extra capital I have left over after paying bills

OK it's a cool idea to never have to own fiat, however it doesn't make sence to do the conversion of your paycheck usd-btc and back btc-usd to pay off your monthly recurring expenses (rent, mortgage, food,) It's too short of a timeframe You have conversion fees and btc can go down these couple of days Yes fiat is trash, so what's wrong with spending it in short timeframe? brThis only makes sence to pay unscheduled bills from what would be your longterm savings account

Wouldn't it be cheaper (in fees and taxes) to just get a BTC ETF and borrow against it? This way you don't sell your BTC there is no taxable event and you only pay the fee to borrow which is about 8 at IBKR now Plus it's a win win for the Bitcoin world, as no Bitcoin is getting dumped constantly on each purchase

Direct deposit is great, but Bill Pay doesn’t really work for me My problem is that many of my bills (including my credit cards) require Plaid to connect to my bank account, which means it requires I put in my bank login to connect They won’t just accept routing/account number
