I really wish they had at least 1 black person on this panel I went to DCPS and graduated from Cornell Would have loved to share my perspective 29:40 Comment from : @TheRealAbdulTaylor |

Ivy leagues are the iphones of smart phones A luxury meant for the rich, made by the rich It's a luxury educational facility branded as a University Comment from : @NovaViper-x7m |

UY Philippines! Philippines! 39:38 Comment from : @josephdelacruz8453 |

Frankly, unlike the others, Ishan is actually ivy league material His critical thinking distinguishes him The others were bright, but there is a difference The economic factor he raised (DEI) went over many heads, including Cornell, despite her conviction Ishan posseses the kind of mind our best schools were meant to serve Comment from : @ehernandez2726 |
argument should’ve been ended at the 5:43 mark lol Comment from : @Itsbylebih |
The Indian individual had great points but I think that my only criticism of him was during the DEI prompt Although he did seek an explanation of it and wanted to be educated on it, I feel like as a migrant and knowing how far in education he has gotten, it wouldn’t make sense for him to not understand the history of the country he chose to live in I don’t say it as a way of trumping people who think that every migrant should aspire to assimilate into American society because tbh, that within itself is toxic BUT if you’re initially impacted by programs such as DEI, you should be able to do your own research and educate yourself regarding why such a program was put into action in the first place Him as a migrant saying that he didn’t care of DEI being taken away is such a slap in the face to those communities, such as the African American community, who are naturally born Americans and have been living here for centuries with limited resources and a system that goes against their own success Comment from : @Jmv20 |
Well, this video did not convince me to "join" an ivy league If anything, it just proves and reinforces the point that these schools are a waste of money, energy & time Comment from : @noire9601 |
Had to use subtitles to understand what most participants were saying! Pls consider adding subtitles in your videos, Jubilee Comment from : @noire9601 |
As far as DEI I did not hear one of them mention fixing public education and giving public schools better resources to help students of all races make better decisions Comment from : @eglzallday |
Ishan's point of correlation vs causation is absolutely truebrIn my country, students are placed into school after 6th grade based off of National Placement exams The highest ranking students are placed into National Schools, which are considered the 'best of the best' These schools don't necessarily have the best teachers, as teachers are assigned based on availability and not ranking The schools perform well consistently because they have students who are high performing joining them, not necessarily because of what's taughtbrbrThese students are able to maintain their performance because they also are well-funded and have access to many resources that 'lower schools do not Comment from : @rajaknoah |
elitists are always so condescending ego is the enemy Comment from : @SgtSweed |
It's like doping in the Olympics Ivy leagues are full of uneducated kids who take adderall illegally Some of these privledged kids don't even know how to read Seriously Comment from : @Susieq26754 |
Okay so this just convinced me to not accept my Cornell acceptance letter Comment from : @ShristiTamang022 |

I think yall chose the wrong ivy league students lolll they're pretty narrow minded Comment from : @lillikou |
The indian gentleman was amazing he had the best perspective imo Comment from : @sycksyngyrl |
Dei truly hurts poor folks community imo I got zero help and zero benefits when trying to get into school ivy seeking out certain races seems very racist to me it should be based on merit folks with less means should also be considered and brought in instead what tends to occur is wealthy of each minority take priority over folks that are poor from each racehow is that helping its not its a facade of diversity We are missing a huge section of people Comment from : @sycksyngyrl |
i'll watch anything on youtube while eating food, lol Comment from : @DEWOTT_HOPE |
These kids have been institutionalized their whole lives, & I don’t think that employees care as much anymore because they’re getting really crappy college employees that can’t think for themselves br(Excluding the STEM fields) Comment from : @Retribution_X |
LOL i go to community college and professors that have taught in top universities teach my classes Comment from : @biitchesbrew |
Today you are so brainwashed if you go to school, I would not hire you from an Ivy League school or any college I believe you are less intelligent if you go to college Comment from : @RichardTavilla |
Just look at any high school in the south…you see segregation still in the classrooms I’ll give you a hint…it is not because anyone is less smart Entire societies and places have been molded by past institutions of racism There is a reason poverty reigns within black communities Unspoken sentiments and ideals still exist and are pressured onto groups We act like this was a hundred years ago…my parents were born during the 60s…it takes centuries for boulders to become pebbles let alone sand Comment from : @laineybeans6355 |
I wonder if a lot of the roundabout speech in this video (especially the Cornell grad) is because they're subconsciously conditioned to keep things open for careers in high-level management or politics Can't say anything that gets you cancelled when you make it big Comment from : @symptl |
wow i didn’t know they made jibilee videos without shouting, threats and violent rhetoric Comment from : @laikasnow3521 |
The asians speaking in favor of DEI but they were also the ones that sued the Ivy league institutions because they felt like too many black student were being accepted 🙄 and they are now filing a 2nd lawsuit Comment from : @brobinson2150 |
Also maybe an ivy education doesn’t really mean much if their debates have no nuance, eloquence, or flow plus are redundant and interrupted by filler words constantly The cornell girl and her tone of speaking is quite frankly very hard to sit through Comment from : @fariashabnam5047 |
In a debate like this I think it’s important to disclose what each student’s parents do for a living They are so young I want to hear their opinions but I need to know what their safety net is That will help me be kinder in my reactions watching this I cringed alot I think they did their best How about take an approach like the voice? Block out what they look like so they can be more candid We don’t need em to mess up their lives based on something they say here Comment from : @melissad2680 |
Ivy kids make going to Ivy an entire personality That is what makes them insufferably annoying Comment from : @Liz-eg6pf |

The fact that most people in the comments appreciate Ishan but only refer to him as the Indian guy is probably an indicator that we still need DEI Comment from : @afeerahman |

Wtf?!brOnly two people sat down at “Ivy schools are elitist”?brThey are! Rich people have a massive advantage getting into those schools Grades and test scores are not the reason Comment from : @ashkaunadib7638 |
The arguments seem to boils down to Ivy Leagues are better without substantial reasons By definition making it elitist, “it’s better cause it’s better” Comment from : @Dezzo0721 |
um the skillset of nursing in the Phillipines vs USA IS NOT THE SAME Comment from : @forshigity5000 |
Indian guy is not bothered by the elimination of Dei not because I think it proved some point just because it provides a more striking conversationbrbrno, I don’t understand why someone said oh if I was a different race I probably would feel this way But how specifically would you know, especially when somebody who is supposed to the benefit off of the dei disagreed with the rest of the room on a controversial topic I understand completely her point is and i kinda get but but i wouldn’t say that after a compelling argument this is by far one of the most interesting debates i’ve ever seen Comment from : @stevenszobar4122 |
Indian guy is not bothered by the elimination of Dei not because I think it proved some point just because it provides a more striking conversation Comment from : @stevenszobar4122 |

I think the first question should be asked from people that graduated or dropped out like 15 years ago Like you don't know the worth of a degree until you are established in life because of the degree or not having that schools degree Comment from : @TopherPettitGaming |

Getting into ivy league school is hard, getting into an ivy league school as a transfer is harder Its no wonder that the Indian dude was a straight up genius Comment from : @GooseCee |
They should start facing the girl that says she’s a Cornell student does not go to the college at all You can tell also just by her rhetoric and the way that she carries herself she speaks like she’s talking on Instagram Comment from : @yoshisgarage4828 |
Worked class professors that are tenured, over paid, and want to teach you their social opinion not any facts because they can’t get fired anymore Comment from : @tipsyt1909 |
Shocked you guys didn’t shoehorn Blossom into this one too Comment from : @tipsyt1909 |
This idea that just because you go to an ivy means you’re more driven and motivated need to be shut down…people constantly mentioning that was annoying Comment from : @punchparty3267 |
Race and class are tied together in this country Loved Ishan’s insight but him being an immigrant limits his ability to understand how race and wealth are connected Comment from : @destyi1998 |
Indian bro cooked entire session Comment from : @ajaxjackson1220 |
As someone who could’ve gone to Harvard but opted for a state school it was definitely because of the price They are mostly all the same in my opinion Comment from : @joaogodoy6375 |

The Indian kid is the best one for sure, 50 of All college graduates after adecade in the work force after college are working in job that you get with a high school diploma I know plummers, carpenters making 80k ormore annually with no college, and professors and teachers like me making 35k at a CC, or 50-60k at state universities with a PhD Its not for everyone, yet if a kid ask their parent if they should go to college or be a Plummer they always say college just to say it and tech skills take a back seat which is crazy talk Its not for everyone Comment from : @JPWilliams-yi6nv |
