Wow 😮!Great topic and a very good portfolio to invest inDividend investing is a popular strategy that involves investing in stocks that pay out a portion of their earnings to shareholders in the form of dividends This can provide a relatively stable source of income and potentially lower volatility in a portfoliobrbrThere are some benefits one will derive from Degen if properly executed and the technique applied accordingly br- Regular income streambr- Potential for lower volatilitybr- Opportunities for capital appreciationbr- Inflation protectionbrMost especially working with a good pointer will make the process easily attended Comment from : @Rooneyrobsin |

Fidelity has a better MM than the ones you mentioned… FDLXX It has no state income tax since it is pure fed treasury, which makes its return much better than its paper 7-day yield if you live in a state with income taxes Comment from : @Tsyras |

Just wanted to add an additional benefit of money market funds You can have multiple money market positions within a Fidelity account You will have the core position (usually SPAXX) but, in addition, you can have others (like SPRXX) Fidelity aggregates all your money market positions (in an account) when it calculates how much settled cash you have This has some pretty cool implications You can use all your money market funds for withdrawals, purchasing new securities, check writing, and debit card access So if my core position has $500 and an SPRXX position with $1000, I can withdraw $1500, purchase $1500 in new investments, or spend $1500 with a debit card (if you set one up)brbrThe core position will be the first to liquidate when spending money but other money market positions can be treated as cash as far as Fidelity is concerned Comment from : @brianb12321 |

I put 30k savings in MM fund with fidelity just a few months ago already made almost a $1000 in returns Never see that with a bank account savings Ony thing that will suck is paying the tax on it I plan on leaving it for a year should be long term capital gains Comment from : @Mike-01234 |

SPAXX may not be FDIC insured but is SIPC Insured I guess, thats some insurance rather than none Comment from : @AZ-mi6ce |

Good video I learned a lot about core position and the different money market tickers to look for It is better to park your money in a place that is at least not depreciating with high inflation like a regular savings acct Con the interest earned is taxable How to get around paying taxes, invest it ? Comment from : @LooseJointhiphopdance |

I have a Vanguard Money market fund We bought stocks during covid and sold high Now the money is just sitting there earning 528 interest and Vanguard reinvests like $53 on their own…Can I lose money on an account like this like how stocks go up and down? Or just interests change and earnings change I’m just worried(not knowing much about it) that I could go from having a good bit of money in there and check it one day and half of it be gone(or any of it) Comment from : @stephaleeg |

I can’t believe robinhood is charging for this yield Recently parked some cash in a HYS Account and am thinking MM may be a better idea I guess it’s the price of the spread between FDIC insured vs Govt Default Risk 63 Both are important but you won’t get any insured money back from a defaulted government br* 435 a high yield savings acctbr* 498 SPACXXbr* Spread is 063 Comment from : @MoneyVikings |
