hey guy the mint does not do any grading that is done by grading services like pcgs and ngc so the spirit 66 is a phony what you see on the slabbed coin is true and the grading services make sure of it by being on the floor in the mint Comment from : @georgehu8114 |
How about first day of issue, how does it differ from these two Comment from : @silverandgoldspartan4933 |
Isnt it good to get pcgs 70 grade though??? Comment from : @TheEdward1953 |
What if you have two coins, same price, same year, same grade (PR-69), but one is a first strike Would you take the first strike label, or non first strike, all other factors being equal? Comment from : @jarret45 |
So are early strike worth more than a circulated coin or the exact same? Comment from : @John-rg6kt |
Excellent video Silver Wolverine! Thank you for helping to get the word out to folks so they can make an informed decision and not get caught up in the hype and deceptive advertising practices I appreciate the shout-out and kind words my friend Comment from : @SilverTorch66 |
I refuse to support this "first strike" or "early release" nonsense Not saying I will never buy a slabbed coin, because I occasionally do, but as you pointed out "first strike" doesn't really bmean/b anything, because the die can and does get replaced throughout the minting process Comment from : @douglaswilliams6834 |
This is a very good fact for people to know! The first strike is only there to try and market it to newbies and those that dont know Thanks for sharing!! Comment from : @dwingsworld2581 |
Great info! I think the grading companies had to do something to make some more money Registry sets are capturing a lot of people's attention Comment from : @johnmrebic |

Thanks for this So the first strike is basically marketing fluff But isn't the MS-70 what really matters? Comment from : @Smaulgld1 |
Thumbs up my friend!! Comment from : @coincollectingfun |
Great informative video dude! Not sure why a MS70 or PR70 would be any different whether or not it was struck on the first day or two They replace the dies when needed as they say Seems to be a gimmick to me Good job, from an OSU Buckeye Comment from : @Car1Sagan |
Waste of money Comment from : @richrocco5437 |
First Day Of Issue Coming next First Hour Of Issue Comment from : @yttst01 |
Yeah, it;s one of several gimmicks the modern coin grading companies use sadlu Early Releases is what NGC uses which is at least a little more accurate Comment from : @SalivateMetal |
First Strike and Earliest Release are the biggest scams in numismatics You're right, it's impossible to tell which coins were struck first Only dealers and grading companies profit from these coins In fact, I see more First Strike slabs than regular slabs LCS won't pay shit when you sell First Strike slabs Another marketing ploy are the "autographed" slabs Comment from : @MrMonkeySwag96 |
I see the video by silver torch as well He told me to share the info as well I think you done a great job in relaying this information and thank you good sir Comment from : @slicksilver9441 |
I Think Most Modern Coins Would Grade High Straight From The Mint Or Bullion Dealer Depending On Shipping & Handling Comment from : @SILVERBROTHER72 |
There are only two reasons I’d ever buy fs/er designations One is if I can get it at the same price as a normal non-designated coin The second is if I think the value of an MS70 is going to rise above the initial fs price before the non-designated coins become available Which, of course, is rare Comment from : @DARINW13 |
