Credit is great for those who have the discipline to use it correctly I have used a cash back card for everything I would spend anyway…but I live within my means and pay it off each month I average $50/month in cash back and let it build till I am ready to use it Unfortunately too many people are not disciplined enough and get into trouble

Credit cards are more secure than debit cards When you spend on a credit card, in person or online, withdraw that amount immediately in cash from your bank account, and keep it in a file When the bill comes from that credit card, deposit the money back into your account, and pay the bill You will never overspend, and you will feel the purchase pain on your wallet each month You will also immediately know of any false charges on your credit card, which is really important if you have multiple cards Cumbersome, but worth it! Much better that using your debit card, safer, more control of your money, and you get the points!! Win win

Don't use credit card , the reward is basically motivates you to spend more money on the things that you usually don't buy with your paper money but since it is plastic money and on top of that you are getting rewarded for spending extra aswell so you spend and ultimately it becomes your compulsive habbit to spending more than needed

The only thing I like about our credit cards is the protection you get if someone steals your card information, credit card companies are pretty good about locking your card down and not sticking your with the fraudulent chargesbrbrOther than that, any other stupid perks or rewards are absolutely not a big enough benefit to offset the temptation of buying things with a credit card when you don’t have money in the bank You will save way more money avoiding them

I have one credit card issued by my bank, and use it for everything, and I've never paid a late fee in over 20 years When the balance reaches a certain level, I pay directly from my checking account to the credit card, so I'm never late I rack-up untold thousands of "reward" points which I use to buy Panera Bread gift cards One cautionary note, that if you are unable to pay your balance in-full every month, you probably shouldn't have a credit card Once you're behind in payments, it can turn into a "financial tsunami"
