You definitely need to change some USD at the airport to take your Cab to your AirB&B or Casa Particular ! Once you arrive ask your host for better rates !

I’m in Varadero right now Feb 2024 and needed my Visa card to pay for tours, biscuits and even to get on the 5 dollar hop on hop off bus that doesn’t accept cash Don’t forget a credit card Also many stores don’t want my pesos:)

Great info,will be in varidaro cuba this tuesday,my 3rd time there ,we enjoy helping out the people there and they are the friendliest people we have come across in our travelswe have exchanged money at the hotel and bank in varidaro and didn't recieve a good rate ,who do i go to in varidaro to receive a better rate ,if you have a suggestion on who to ask for would be a great help Keep up with your videos you do a damb good job my friend

So happy I found your channel I’m being treated for a medical condition , but have my doctor’s blessing to travel to Cuba next Thursday for a few days I have to eat and stay hydrated at all times Can I bring bottled water and snacks into Cuba I’m flying American Airlines and check my bag? Can’t seem to get an answer When I flew to Belize I had a suitcase full of bottled water and snacks and had no problems
