Good for you Jon! And good thing you have good insurance too!! My insurance it's not great here in Chile, last time I got checked to get braces they told me it'd be around $8000 (USD) yes, almost 4 millions chilean pesos and my teeth are not even that bad to be honest 😂 so I guess I'll keep waiting because my time will come eventually (I hope)

Me siento baiteado xd, es como decir que uno está en un país desarrollado y se va a uno de tercer mundo, los profesionales tendrán un esfuerzo similar pero por cosas de economía ganarán y habrá un costo acorde al paísbrbrMi sobrino que tiene 16 fue a USA este año, ha trabajado en un oficio sobre pelar cables de cobre creo, le pagan como 60$ el día (menos de 6horas), que es como 2 días de trabajo a 8 horas acá xD, en su caso quería un computador y obviamente en estados unidos sale más barato cada pieza que necesitababrbrCapaz tengo una idea errada pero una persona que mantiene sus gastos bien en estados unidos (residente, con un hogar ya pagado), puede ir a casi cualquier parte del mundo y ese esfuerzo se multiplica porque el dinero allá es más "fácil" de conseguir, o mejor dicho, abunda másbrbrY no lo digo en mala, es solo mostrar mi idea de cuán diferentes son ambas realidades y lo que pasa si una choca con la otra

My husband got his braces off almost a year ago after a year with Invisalign This was his 3rd time with braces because he wouldn't wear his retainer so wear your retainer! The price of dental work in the US is indeed insane I have gone to Costa Rica for dental work and just this past year went to Puerto Vallarta, MX where I got 5 crowns for only $1,500 and that would have been the cost of only ONE crown here (after my insurance!) I would really love to hear more on comparative medical costs in Chile
