I did that for a few of my trucks 2nd truck was almost exactly except I new the guy and he sighed title to me with no lean holder Witch looking back was crazy for him to do but he did get paid in full!br100 on the similarity between trucking and real estate

Now a days you can’t even trust people to do that, 2 years later when you make the final payment , now they can’t “find the title” , I’m not saying all but owner financing the truck could be a big risk, if the driver totals the truck, or it breaks down , the same guy who didn’t have the money to buy it cash, might be the same guy who don’t have the money to overhaul that engine, and now he has a lawn ornament, and sitting there looking lost

I did that width a trailer I brought I took a check to his house in NJ every month If I was late I paid him $25 later fees Me I wouldn't do for no one I know some look for there truck now The guy made one payment I have to put GPS tracking on the equipment
