I bought a MoneyPak from Rite Aid I've been attempting to load this MoneyPak onto a prepaid debit card when I get to the part on the app that says enter MoneyPak number it doesn't go through because the number on the card that I have is only 10 digits and it says a 14 digit number what am I doing wrong

How come last time I tried reloading a green dot card from even the same store I bought it from, it didn't want to go through? Does it only work from from the card you receive from the mail and once activated? Please I'd like to know because I want to put money into one of the cards I have but not sure just in case Thanks
