I know this is an older video but was the save system and coin system updated at all? Meaning do you still lose all your collected golden coins upon a game over? If someone can help me I’d appreciate it

If SML2 were longer, it'd hands down not only be my Gameboy game, but also my favorite Mario game Luigi with floaty jump DEFINITELY being a HUGE reason

5:57 are you sure this is GBC hardware? Because I couldve sworn i read game boy color sprites can only have 4 colors and Mario has 5 (Red, Blue, White, Black, Brown)

Luigi breathes new life into this game It’s astounding how much effort was put into him For example, in Tree Zone, there are certain bug enemies that run away from Mario Luigi can not only jump higher but he can run faster So, he can not only keep up with the enemies but he can kill them as well

Wow, i'll say, you really bumped up your video production I'm impressed honestly I think I remember hearing about this version and I do have it downloaded provided I ever get in that mood to play Mario Land 2 with full color and with Luigi Also, i'll say, when it comes to your point about not many games taking full advantage of the lack of color at least for GB games, I kinda disagree there tbh Perhaps it's just me, but the lack of color for some games can kinda add a sense of atmosphere and a feeling of unease Besides Metroid 2, I can't think of any examples provided for at least GB, but I can think of a few indie titles that do this for great effect Like Limbo and Inside But yeah, great review dude (I'll definitely check this out if I get the time or interest in doing so)

People always assume that just because it's on the GameBoy, that it can't be that great, but I'd consider this one of the top 5 best 2D Mario games for sure I even like it more than Super Mario Bros 3 brbrYes, the first Super Mario Land was decent, but this one is even comparable to Super Mario World in my honest opinion, and Super Mario World is my second favorite 2D Mario game
