Thanks this helped a lot I noticed that if you read backwards from c to c lower you get a word Badfed - like bag fed Celsius when I’m going backwards or right to left

Wow! I never knew about landmark intervals and I was taught the ACEG, EGBDF etc method but never how to read music notes in context Thank you I need to go out and buy an electric piano keyboard now and restart learning the piano

I play technically for 24 years now which is crazy to think about But i havent played the Piano that much to be honest so im not super good I play more often the last few weeks and start to feel the muse again I could never read notes really good I always had to write them under the actual note in order to play them smoothly But this video helped me understand it way easier and i think i can play and learn songs easier than ever before So thank you :)

Thank you for helping me finally make sense of the bass clef and the treble clefbrI've been playing music for over 25 years I'm self-taught and I've been learning music theory (mostly with books) brI've been able to understand, make sense and visualize most concepts (chords, scales, modes, dissonance, harmony) but It's the 1st time I actually understand how the bass clef and the treble clef work together This symmetrical approach centered on middle C makes so much sensebrI first saw this video a week ago and I've noticed that I can already read and write sheet music much faster than before

I am from Germany and learned playing the flute, the melodica and the trumpet as a child, as a teenager I started with guitar and piano Also I've been singing in choirs for the most time of my lifebrWe have one difference in the notes name, the international "B" is called "H" and the international "Bb" is called "B" in German That's why it took me YEARS to figure out, that it actually is just kind of the alphabet!brMy instrumental teachers and also the music teachers at school always encouraged using the landmark method, so that's how I learned it To me it seems almost impossible, that others don't learn to read music like that!brYou explained it very well and I am happy for all the people here, who have learned an easier method for music now :))

A great insight I play guitar, ukulele and bass mostly by ear I can recognise treble clef from a handful of guitar lessons but having trouble linking with bass clef Great to see the whole picture while concentrating on attempting to teach myself how to properly play bass I might even have a stab at trying a few things on the keys!

I am re-learning the flute I need to be able to read the notes before I start practicing which keys to press to make those sounds on the flute I like your approach It seems to make sense compared to memorizing word phrases I wonder if it will be confusing for me to use the piano as a guide for playing the flute

Wow I'm shook, by minute 7 of the video the landmark method was actually helping me remember the notes I'm a complete beginner in music theory and was very apprehensive about my ability to learn these quick enough for my course but i now have hope, yay
