@simplyadiktive Oh really? I own a 2012 Mazda3, and I can tell you that the interior quality is excellent, the whole front console is soft to the touch and pretty much everything makes it seem like a more expensive car than it is Hyundai and Kia just have lots of Bliing and chrome but that doesn't make it any better Hyundai and Kia are only good at numbers and specs Looking at a sheet with all the features and such, they seem like the best, but They really aren't Comment from : tp |
Come on, there is no credibility on these "expert" done tests when only Honda comes at top CR-V best, oh yeah whatever BTW: great Honda add (sarcasm) Comment from : luisinhoens90 |
Yea, see lots of Equinox/CRV/Rav4 near me so dad bought a Terrain, soon as we did I started seeing them everywhere So much for being special Comment from : Andrew |
It came in 4th place, if you would go one trim up you get a touch screen and nav is a low cost addition to that Not sure where back up cam starts showing up but similar GMC Terrain has standard touch screen and back up cam and starts a lil over 25K Comment from : Andrew |
They did this with motorweek and top four are CRV, CX-5, Sportage, and Equinox It didn't even make the top 4 Comment from : Andrew |
spend 10 on a good used suv and 15 on a kick ass sports car Comment from : Grant Cutler |
why would they test the total base escape when the others arent base? Comment from : steve9509 |
Over where i live, a Equinox is a rare site theres too many CRV's here hahah Comment from : Adam Liu |
I agree but for whatever reason I can't leave the house without seeing 20+ equinoxes and I rarely ever see a Subaru anymore:( Comment from : Timothy Hagood |
I like how they tested higher trim level cars against the base Escape Comment from : Austin Vosburgh |
I don't see why everyone loves the Subaru Forester so much, when i test drove it i really didn't like it Could somebody explain please? Comment from : glassscrean |
Where were they? They were both in the test! CR-V got first, and the escape got last or something like that Comment from : glassscrean |
It doesn't get 30mpg on the highway, which was one of their requirements Comment from : glassscrean |
Honda CRV isnt really an SUV in my opinion should we remind them that SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle? Subaru Forever Comment from : Stephen Schafer |
!a Comment from : ThatOrangeGT |
I'm so happy the CR-V won!
Comment from : 328iiii |
The CR-V is proven and the Honda name always suckers moms into reliability and efficiency so I'm not surprised it won Comment from : KnSpace |
Ford's theme song should be Prodigy's "firestarter" Past 30 years, Ford has a notororious history of vehicle fires, from ambulances, to f150s sitting in garages, to police cars and now the ford escape catches fire while in the factoryPeople who build these Fords should be fired, or worse, be forced to drive Fords! Ever since my grandpa's K car spontaneously combusted idling at a red light I only buy asian cars Comment from : John Wayne |
WHO THE F$(# buys a car in 2012 with a 4-speed automatic?! Comment from : bg1379 |
this guy is a horrible narrator Comment from : Anthony Herta |
You people are wrong for these decisions!!!!!!!! Comment from : Jaiden |
The sales numbers don't LIE; the Honda CR-V is king Style isn't the most important thing when looking at an SUV; its utility and thats where the CR-V is king Most also aren't looking to be industry guinea pigs when it comes to reliability All these turbo charged engines have unproven reliability over 150K miles while the Honda CR-V has been basically using the same 24L since the 2nd gen (2002-2006) CR-V with modest updates
The rest of industry can suck it Honda CR-V is the best Comment from : ToyotaforCorolla |
Boring, not informative, and very stupid decisions Comment from : Nate |
lol the Ford Escape wins hands down This just shows that Carscom has no grasp on the small suv segment Comment from : George |
eww subaru Comment from : philip kim |
really? Mazda came in second, and the family absolutely hated it? come on Carscom you guys have to do better The interior of the Mazda is NOT on par with the Kia, and i guarantee that the Mazda will not last longer than the Kia Comment from : simplyadiktive |
Whats with the FAT ass "family"? Comment from : ThatOneDude |
I do agree with the spot you have for Kia and maybe Honda but second place being Mazda, just nope I drove one myself and I have to agree it was gutless, cramped, kind of expensive to equip comfortably and cargo space was very minimal unless the seats were folded I think a better second place spot would have had to been the '13 Escape even with that recent recall of exploding fuel lines in the turbo 16L Comment from : GrandeMage |
Just read the article on their site Here's the full rundown of placing and points
6 - Ford Escape - 6935/1000 - 274 observed MPG
5 - Hyundai Tucson - 7215/1000 - 276 MPG
4 - Chevy Equinox - 740/1000 - 271 MPG
3 - Kia Sportage - 774/1000 - 285 MPG
2 - Mazda CX-5 - 784/1000 - 328 MPG
1 - Honda CR-V - 809/1000 - 303 MPG Comment from : Techdude6693 |
Bullcrap, That Mazda interior does not look more luxurious than the Kias interior, and These people must be paid dearly by Honda because it always seems like they pick them first all the time! That Hondas styling looks very dated and they could have designed a better grill The Kia should have won Comment from : DJEddieXZ |
I hate the CX-5 and I don't know why Comment from : David Halifax |
