I agree with the comments that say this is the only tutorial that gets it right And you brought the receipts (the video showing exactly how Knopfler attacks the strings) The fact that you're getting the effects out of an acoustic is just another level altogether One question for you: do you know what gauge strings you're using? I'm using lights (12-16-24-32-42-53) and I cannot get them to ring out as well on the down-flick I realize I may have to build some finger strength ( you make it look so effortless) But I was also wondering if a different gauge string would help Comment from : @DavidBerlind
