As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the best videos I've ever seen for making molds I've never seen this particular method for making a thin pour mold and I appreciate that you have it here This seems really useful for highly detailed items, but most of all, what a money saver compared to buying the mold making products! Thanks! Comment from : @SoManyTopics |

Oh Teflon I thought they banned that But nice to know silicone baking mats may be a substitute Comment from : @DanielGraham-s5e |

Naptha is lighter fluid The same thing you put in a zippo lighter It’s very flammable Comment from : @chopsddy3 |
Hey! Thanks for the great video, i was looking for a cheaper option of mold making as pourable silicone is too expensive in Europe However i am a bit concerned as the sculpture i want to cast is made of plastilina (plasticine, oil clay) so my question is, will the naphta disolve my sculpture? If the mold is finished i wouldn't care much for the sculpture itself as i'd be casting it in resin, but i wouldn't want the mold melting with my sculpture Comment from : @chiari4833 |
First thanks for sharing your knowledge, secondly I have a question, did you try resin with the pouring version mold ? I already made a silicone mold using soap and the resin never cured Thanks in advance Comment from : @lc5580 |
