Something I told my own subscribers this week Overcoming adversity and continuing forward This is also how you respond to it As I see this daily as a healthcare provider People who are destroyed adults because they couldn't outrun a terrible childhood Too many times this becomes the excuse to give up The reason someone won't try "Because this (fill in the blank) happened to me" Now understand I am not discounting terrible childhoods I had one as well What I am saying is that the world doesn't care It is totally indifferent It may owe you but good luck trying to collect The only way to collect your due is to go out and seek it, pursue it and take it back from the universe The stories of great triumph are rarely without great adversity--ever notice that? Most will lie down to bad circumstances But those who get up and fight back will insure that their story is a great one Hope this helps someone out there---keep being great---Charles Comment from : @charleshurstreinvention3959 |

This is so vital as a topic in 2021 There needs to be more focus on WHY the behaviors are there, not just attempt to unnecessarily medicate the future generation 🛐⏳brThank You! 🎯 Comment from : @islewait6107 |

Directly related to what this woman is talking about: Irene and Seth Lyon have started the revolutionary program (ten years ago) that addresses the dysregulated nervous system--that's what happens to us when we grew up with adverse experiences Science has proven this and the forward thinkers get it one day, western medicne will be turned on its head when they FINALLY change the way they treat trauma!! Dr Robert Block, the former President of the American Academy of pediatrics said, "Adverse Childhood experiences are the single, greatest unaddressed public health threat facing our nation today" This is sad This is a revolution to bring awareness to this science YOU GO NADINE!! MUAH!! Comment from : @territumolillo |
|

Thank you doctor It hurts to not see a single black professional in the audience Our ancestors have been fighting that bear and running from that bear for years It’s sad when as adults battling chronic diseases the doctors tell us that our race have more aggressive forms of these cancers, diseases etc Of course our stress responses are perpetually over active I wake up every day to news of police violence against my people It’s no wander I struggle with depression and high blood pressure I don’t smoke i don’t drink , I’me not overweight I’me lucky to be aware and able to keep informed so at 69years I can support my son who clearly is still as an adult exposed to high doses of adversity Comment from : @ayodeler39 |

The answer is simple be better parents love ya kids stop being selfish and let kids be kids again ,” experience” is the best teacher not the speaker in this video not a professor at Harvard but experience; so the answer isn’t in avoiding it the answer is how you respond to it Comment from : @quasimchambers |
