I was there doing disaster recovery work in the buildings directly around for two months afterwards Some very sobering sights therebrOutstanding memories are the utter silence and respect as bodies were brought out, the total kindness to us Brits while we were there (Thanks Ryan’s Sports bar), and just how quickly this fairly unfit 54 year old guy could run down 22 floors after a bomb scare

All those police officers, firefighters and rescuers were true heroes I am from Mexico and I saw the news on television and it was terribly sad, I was 27 years old when this criminal terrorist attack occurred It is very sad that innocent people die because of the intolerance of those who do not think alike

I remember this day like it were yesterday, I was 24 and on my way to the bank when I walked into the bank someone said the World Trade had been hit by a plane, I was in total shock as my family was from NY and my mom called me on my cell phone and said our family was alright, but I left immediately and went home and stared at the TV until my husband arrived home, we were in total shock and I still am in total shock to this day, no matter how many times I see the footage I am in disbelief and it will forever break my heart

at one point i had a hard time understanding how there were so many bodies still not ID, but after doing a lot of research, i now understand that it was nearly impossible for your body to remain intact with over 100 floors falling onto your helpless body my brain can not fathom or imagine how sufferable that may have been for victims

Thank you for posting these pictures I live in Canada, and was working as a nurse in ER dept It was difficult to try and carry on looking after patients( many of whom didn’t need to be there), and see what was happening The fireman at 146, was he buried or looking for survivors We can never thank our Police, Firefighters, Medics, Hospital Staff enough, for what they did, what they lost and what they continue to endure from that day brI’d like to think that everyone could thank an emergency worker next time you see one for everything they have done and continue to do on a daily basis💙💙💙

I was still a child at the time of the attacks, about 3 years old I think, and I was too young to understand what was happening at the time But now I'm a grown man, and it's sad that my compatriots lost their lives to Al-Queda in just one day This is something SHOULD never be repeated God bless my people❤
