Is the Ridgid oscillating belt/spindle sander the best for woodworking?

Great review brother!!! I bought this today, and was a little concerned with how the belt sander doesn't lock in when you store it on the back of the unit It just rests into the stand So I'll just take your advice, and always install the belt back on top whenever I store the sander brbr TWO THUMBS UP!!! Thanks!

Just got this for $8999 from DFO I got the Ridgid 13" planer a few weeks ago for $189 It's the best place to buy Ridgid or Ryobi tools on the internet Even Harbor Freight can't touch their prices

I like this machine but the dust port broke off of it and the knob that is reversed thread has just about lost it's rubber The dust collection is not as good as I wished Other than that it works I have sanded a lot (hundreds) of small shop projects with this I have glued that dust port back on several times but it keeps breaking loose May need to plastic melt bond it in place this next time

Any reason why you own a disc sander? Do you use it in addition to the spindle sander?

Excellent analysis of the product I’ve been debating whether to get this one or the Bauer, which btw is the same as the grizzly, Triton etc the Ridgid has a 5 amp motor vs the others at 3 amp I should bit the bullet and buy the Ridgid Thanks for the vid

Rigid did come out with a new model #R4840 It is a open frame and doesn’t come with the lifetime service agreement Glad I saw this video because my HD had the EB4424 in stock and I bought it Why change a good machine the way they did

You can’t even find this on the Home Depot app or website, yet I just bought it today at the store for 269 Couldn’t find any outlet stores that had it in stock I wanted this because larger table

The answer is, "No, the Rigid is not the best for anything, just the most expensive" The parts for all of current oscillating sanders are made in the same factory in China Some parts are shipped to the US and assembled here and some are assembled in China The ONLY differences are aesthetic in nature
