Very interesting how Adrian Lewis just gradually fell into obscurity Also interesting how players experience such wild ups and downs, both within a match and during their careers Remember how good Michael Smith was two years ago? Or how Gerwyn Price couldn’t be beat Or how Johnny Clayton won the premiere league just a few years ago It’s a fascinating sport

I don’t think anyone will beat Taylor’s record because the level of play and the shorter format in the worlds has increased so much Taylor was a darting god but he never had to compete with the standard of todays players and I don’t mean just the best but the medium players are so much better today than most of the players in Taylor’s era it’s always ifs and buts we should just appreciate littler while he’s playing the way he is phenomenal talent
