@rafwathion9361
Art is anarchistic! As is beauty!
Comment from : @rafwathion9361

@mallorylowempoka
I am a succesful fine artist showing internationally and in museum and I can say that they are a couple advice that doesnt seem sustainable at all “Always make your art your first priority” and “invest in your art and not your well-being or comfort” seem like toxic ways to go about it all You need balance, always!
Comment from : @mallorylowempoka

@ayashaloya
Good art 🖼️ needs time investment and hard work ethics
Comment from : @ayashaloya

@Hollogrim
I feels like you are talking about how to sell yourself not art It’s so perverted what is it mean to be an artist? You have to fake yourself and do best at marketing about shit work?
Comment from : @Hollogrim

@Nattroka
Invest in yourself You are the one making the art This can mean, focusing on your mental or physical health for a while and putting art on the back burner if neededbrRemember thisbrEat well, drink enough water Move your body You can try different cuisines from around the words and broaden your horizon - this will enrich or art Try a fitness course that is out of your comfort zone - this will help your art The more depth you have as a person, the richer your life was been, the more your can use from your insides to create art (Note that I don't write "buy fancy designer fashion" or "buy that PlayStation" for a reason Consumer culture leaves you empty inside and will hurt your process Get a good pair of hinking shoes and a small sketchbook instead and explore that creak beyond the towns limit!
Comment from : @Nattroka

@JonEyv
Your are not giving or focusing on the key Wich is believe in oneself plus talk and try to convince evey door till making it Use the anger and frustration to artistic purposes and all extreme emotion cause art is based on extreme states or different ways to convince reality and make proper connections so knock knock doors and websites and ppl You are not giving the keys are all work is not necessary to art and and anyone inside it knows that you are talking by the perspective of someone who is not into that worlds but as an outsider trying to get into it Anyways thx u for the video
Comment from : @JonEyv

@JonEyv
Funny I was just thinking about I need to be stoic and damn work apart from Beeing an artist and just you said work work work on art But how could I do if I don't trust in myself? My first things gonna be not cheap but not based on work I cannot work if I cannot believe in it
Comment from : @JonEyv

@AndyTomaselli
my brother is an artist and I have heard him answer the same questions over the years from well meaning art students after he gives a talk at a museum or university Someone always asks how do you make it as an artist His stock reply is to try another profession if your goal is to “make it” brMake art that you want to make, do the opposite of whatever the current zeitgeist is Be willing to live like a poor student the rest of your life and learn how to talk a good game by studying art history and meet and show with all the artists in your town or geographical areabrIt also helps that he was born an artist
Comment from : @AndyTomaselli

@DavidWerking
Millionaires love telling other millionaires how to be millionaires for some reason Why don't you get someone with ten dollars tell someone how to be a ten dollar-onaire Contemporary Art Issue? You can't can you?

@tom_hagen1972
This is probably the only valuable advice I work in the creative industry, and I'm always surprised how people seem to think that artists are some talented bohemian species, who can turn anything into gold with just enough effort No matter whose story you look into, most famous artists were absolute workaholics, and couldn't really exist without creating constantly Even Kurt Cobain, who was a hardcore drug addict, wrote poetry, music, or painted all the time Of course, this shouldn't lead creatives to drive themselves crazy, but if you don't have this inherent drive, you most likely won't succeed brbrThe quantity over quality advice is also very good Young creatives get so entangled in one idea, while others come up with 50, and simply choose the best one in the end Most good ideas are simple and don't take weeks to come up with Keeping your mind busy this way is perfect creativity-training

@neilerickson3158
Very cogent with depth and sincerity perhaps severe As for “it’s who you know that brings big success “ I will add that it is “who knows you ?”
Comment from : @neilerickson3158

@ivangraypiece
sucking everybodies toes to get to the top, love it brcreate communities and actual friendships with artists, exhibit together and form a group of similar understandings and form a movement in the scene it will profit way more, but a bit of toe-sucking will always be necessray, sadly
Comment from : @ivangraypiece

@geoffreyridge54
nice ,but not really helpful mostly this is mythology, and a path for those that already have "means"
Comment from : @geoffreyridge54

@kimkimson627
"everything for art" is super hard, you need to find the life style that fits, the right partner in life and all I think I failed on this point already- my partner is more important than my art, my future children and family is more important than art brThis is how hard it is to be an artist! it's not just about painting, it's an life style
Comment from : @kimkimson627

@georgeszurbach444
Sensitivity to the sublime is something you have or do not haveYou can't acquire it Art is never painful

The one important thing he left out is reading Not artist books and biographies Rather, broaden your mind and scope of the world Read all kinds of best selling novels Wake up your own imagination! Whoever you hang with is most likely who you become more likeness with If you wish to have great artist imagination, simply read great imaginative works from great imaginative authors Push yourself to read subjects that you never thought you would like Open your damed mind up!

@psrosemary
No matter how hard you focus and work on your art, if you are a loner and/or mentally ill, you can forget success, because schmoozing is not possible for you If you decide to keep making art anyway, you must practice non-attachment in regards to finished pieces
Comment from : @psrosemary

@macraghneall6883
Your diversity inclusive stock footage is hilarious
Comment from : @macraghneall6883

@comontoshi
3 maybe 4 important things to remember: Don’t hang out with your peers, associate with those who achieved at a higher level in your chosen field of endeavor, find a “goombah” someone who can “help” you over rough spots in your “artistic” lifestyle and finally, get someone to take care of the business aspect and management of your career 😎😘
Comment from : @comontoshi

Comment from : @Jenn_C_Chernak_art

@PennyBurns-v9n
This is for non artist wannabes I came into this life as an artist That has not changed in 70 years Don’t be studying others, you will just become a derivative If one IS an artist, that is what one does I like “think big” and helping others, but that is fine advice for life in general
Comment from : @PennyBurns-v9n

@achichilha
As a retired professional artist, I've come to a realization that's both unsettling and thought-provoking It concerns the consequences of obsessively fixating on a singular pursuit, such as art What happens to the richness of life, the wealth of knowledge, and the diversity of perspectives when one becomes ensnared by this monomaniacal devotion? I once succumbed to this affliction for yearsbrbrWith gratitude, I now find myself distanced from this singular pursuit This vantage point reveals the art world's smallness in the grand scheme of life It's a minuscule bubble with limited relevance to those outside its confines
Comment from : @achichilha

@ragodesign
Art is king, even and mostly over success
Comment from : @ragodesign

@nadeemhaq8211
I think understanding the art of art would answer pre or new market artists answers If you are a serious artist Any investment you make in matrials is a safe investment Your other investments in travel and networking will depend on your performance of getting yourself out there and doing your best to expose your self brAny marketing online would need daily attention Even if its for 20 mins brI think this combined with these ten highlights and more is road to success brbrBut its very important to do a case study of other artists I think this is very important So ya Another good art post
Comment from : @nadeemhaq8211

@quantum_tarot
A good artist don’t need help , or bend over for a gallery owner 😉

Comment from : @RonMarkoArtist

@tracyhartman5878
God first, family second, these ten commandments are from a tragic humanist Success is not monetary!
Comment from : @tracyhartman5878

@almarn
Learn to drive a taxi or find rich friends willing to support you for the rest of your lifemarrying an heir can also be consideredbrbrIf you're seriously thinking of making a career out of art, it's because you've left your passion behind, or forgotten your obsessionsbrbrThis is NOT SERIOUS It's looking like a plan for a computer's specialist
Comment from : @almarn

@ochervelvet9687
This is my first video from this provider I think it would be helpful to define success up front It was a little ways into the video that I understood you to mean being able to make a living from one’s art That is not necessarily the goal of all artists and does not define success for all artists Some points from your list of ten I found helpful, and some were irrelevant because they have nothing to do with how I define success But thank you for posting
Comment from : @ochervelvet9687
