The SIM Card thing isn't true, when I studied abroad in france for 3 months I paid $20 a month for a local french carrier that gave me 20 gigs of data and worked in every country I visited

Our son graduates in 2025 and wants to go backpacking through Europe this summer He already went to 5 countries this past summer with EF tours and fell in love with Europe Now he wants to go on his own My husband and I are paying for his backpacking so this information helps us a lot We have put aside $10,000 for him to be able to do this

You don’t need a new SIM card for every country in the EU! Just buy one that’s valid for all of the EU I bought a HoT SIM card in Austria for €10 and it gave me 10GB of EU data outside of Austria
