I had the Lego Santa elves house which had a fun pancake (1x1 flat circle) dispensing feature, I wonder if you could have worked that up into something for cans Comment from : @shinbios |
you should try making one that the can gets stuck in the vending machine so it’s realistic Comment from : @therealdude943 |
Damn thats crazy, Finnish? Comment from : @W00DGR0USE |
Yooo I used to obsess over Lego Vending Machines when I was a kid Comment from : @monstershayne |

I miss playing with Legos:-/brbrOn another note, what do you think of O’Neill cylinders?brbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrOne of the things I thought about was integrating carbon nanotubes The only way to integrate it was with huge cables or ropes, make it like a basket (or fence, as far as tightness of weave) to allow footings (essentially huge screws/tiles), girders, meshes of different size, and filler which I was hoping to either put graphene concrete, or a type of “plastic graphene” that could fill in cracks and fill everything in The point was to incorporate carbon nanotubes and graphene in a way that you could pump out Cylinders fairly simply like an automated basket weaver and a Torus station would essentially be the “dry dock”brbrThat was before Ariel Eckblaw self assembling tiles, which is a great idea, but would necessitate a solid steel cylinderbrbrBefore that, I had thought of essentially taking the idea of carbon fiber, different direction weaves with graphene resin, and scale it up so that a 5 or 10 foot diameter rope would essentially be the thread in a composite weave Essentially the O’Neil Cylinder wallbrThe beauty about the cables/“rope” was that it would also serve to power everything like underground cables, and also have solid state (graphene) hyper capacitor storage at it’s corebrbrWhat I wanted to do was make a scale model with essentially just plastic thread (plastic bags and jars), recycled metal, and concrete The ideal thing is to take a scale model of what the stainless steel cylinder would be and test them out by spinning and firing sniper rounds at them That would also mean having scale models inside and sensors throughout the models as they would in real life brbrThe problem with scale modeling is that not everything behaves the way you think, especially once you scale something to 40 or 60,000 feet in diameter, with over 100 tons per square inch on top, besides moving it in space when you’re trying to maneuver into orbit with huge flywheels/gyroscopesbrbrLook up Galvorn nanotube yarn and graphene versus steel and you’ll see what I mean Comment from : @MichaelSkinner-e9j |

You should drop legal Eagle as a client His legal analysis is outright wrong and very biased Take his self defence video for instance He just purports leftist emotions rather than the hard facts on what the law says Many practicing lawyers provided an opposing view We shouldn't be supporting someone whose analysis can misinform citizens into making bad decisions Because that analysis was altered to fit a skewed world view rather than just giving the facts Comment from : @MegaMech |
Thank you for the amazing creation and tutorial! I built the model myself and found out a Lego element can be used to replace a safety pin when stretching the rubber band, which is the wolverine claw piece! I only used one tooth from the claw to stretch the rubber band Comment from : @_Carlooooo |
Would one of those "gyro cutters" help with tracing out the stickers? Comment from : @catfree |
The Lego vending machine contraption is very satisfying Comment from : @AisonLee |
lol what is happening with this channel? It's all over the place Comment from : @curt8806 |
Taran would own a comically large safety pin Comment from : @jekrixlokan4507 |
Your design looks better to me - better scale, I like seeing lots cans inside instead of just two, and you have buttons! Comment from : @henrikoldcorn |
Thoughts on recent news? Comment from : @carcrashjayson |
29:00 there's a 1x1x2 brick! The Piece of Resistance from the LEGO movie, part #15444 It does have a hole on one side for sticking it to Emmet's back but that might be preferable to modifying an old shutter piece Comment from : @Jessev741 |
hey taran, do you have any plans on reviewing the razer stream controller x?brbrit's basically a stream deck mk2 but from razer in partnership with loupedeck, I think it could be a nice crossover given that the loupedeck hardware isn't that great (touch screens yuck)brbrit would be nice to see how it compares with the stream deck ! Comment from : @animeistrash |
I see taran i upvote Comment from : @Hendika |
hi Comment from : @ZackMuffinMan |
I imagine you could do crazy things with 3d printed parts Not sure if it has the same appeal or not, legos aren't really my thing Comment from : @Aeroxima |
Hi Taran Do you have any advice how can adjust audio duration in Premiere? I need to speed up audio for about 1 sec over 4h video to have it in sync Thank you Comment from : @rzober89biologia |
RE: Tolerance on coke cans being too tight to put labelsbrUnsure if this would constitute as an "illegal build" but you could sand down the cylinders the equivalent thickness of whatever decal you'll be applying They don't connect to anything and just roll about so I don't think it constitutes as an illegal part Comment from : @DaxtonAnderson |
You'll need a Bobby pin to build a Nuka Cola machine though Comment from : @Thisandthat8908 |
You should consider hosting a Lego building booth at a future LTX Comment from : @Handl3sAreStupid |
Definitely like the look of yours much more The scale sells it I would love having the drink holder compartment at the bottom but I can see how that would make it way too high Really nice design Comment from : @kingpoopthe7th |
awesome Comment from : @kuubeu |
Using the bar through the hollow studs is actually genius!brbrGreat build, looking forward to more Comment from : @xx1norm1xx |
Using a Cone 1x1 stud on the piece you're trying to get the rubber band on the second piece might be easier, and avoid the corners of the square block hanging up on it Comment from : @RealLuckless |
I mean, the fact that the cans sometimes gets stuck is a feature and not a bug I’d say (no I don’t work at Microsoft even tho it sounds like it)brCause cans in real machines tends to get stuck for no reason too!brLoved the video, makes me wanna get a bunch of legos and build stuff Comment from : @kaare1992 |
29:55 "Notice also that sometimes it simply doesn't work no matter what you do"brbrJust like a real vending machine! Comment from : @needfuldoer4531 |
Awesome now my minifigs can crack open a cold one with the boys Comment from : @MintyBricks |
Do you have Lego Masters in Canada/the US? They'd happily take you Comment from : @frameschubser |
When I was doing some water transfer on my Dad's guitar, I found out that sadly NO ONE has a printer with white ink I went to a lot of print shops, and even called in some in bigger cities Comment from : @Felipera_ |
I was OBSESSED with building Lego vending machines as a kid There was just something about them that I adored Comment from : @OfflineOffie |
13:18 we all know Lego doesn't need coins, they are socialist utopia no Capitalist hellhole Glory to the great lego man in the sky Comment from : @blauw67 |

My Siri says hi, also she doesn't know the people you tried to callbrbrCool project btw! Comment from : @Chaymeleon |
Nice machine! It even fits the scale of buildings Comment from : @LastofAvari |
My Childhood was all about Lego Vending Machine/Claw Machines, this brings back memories Comment from : @Teleputer |
will this be used as another macro key for premiere pro Comment from : @advait |
Brother, you need a cricut You can cut your own decals You have to weed out negative space but you can do coca-cola logo with ease Comment from : @jasrenfro9856 |
Super duper ! Comment from : @nikroth |
Definitely not thinking about using this to dispense meds Comment from : @kelliehuynh |
I'm fascinated on how complicated system someone can do just as a lego thing 31 minuts Comment from : @YuProducciones |
You can use your design, but make top lid solid and to refill cans, you can have a 1x1 hole on the side to push them in, so you can't screw it up as well Comment from : @MoweMax |
That alliteration was wonderful Comment from : @sircorruption |
23:59 that's not a safety pin, that's a pocket knife! Comment from : @namewarvergeben |
I have been watching a lot of custom keyboard youtubers lately, so with that in mind you could probably lube the slide rails on this thing and make the dispenser more reliable Comment from : @holdenhodgdon3756 |
Before the start, Lets Go! Comment from : @LND3947 |
