There's plenty of perfectly good used gear available Everything costs a bit more now, but in the last couple years ago I've bought an Olympus E-M1 mk 1 and several lenses, including a Panasonic 14mm & 20mm, Olympus 9-18mm, 14-150mm and 30mm macro for under $1000 total 💰👀 I do mostly street photography, and I'm pretty happy with this gearbrbr(Thank you everyone that's buying new gear and making their "outdated" gear available to people like myself who don't need or care if they have the latest bells & whistles)

as a leica owner I can attest to the image quality but it is incredibly easy to blow out the highlights which often times become unrecoverable

I have Sony a7rv , s7cii and Fuji x100vi… i love all but they all have their pros and cons Rv Sony does it all , fast focus , megapixel to crop and good grip The a7cii , feels great , compact but the side flip screen annoys me at times and 4000 shutter limit sucks I like tobrShoot with 12 lenses at times and need to use filter to cut down light brThe Fuji x100vi , there’s days I love it and days I hate it cause I miss shot It’s a type of camera that slows you down that you just wanna point shoot and capture just typical shots and at times I miss not having on me and 6-7 frames per second and focus fast, and having a vertical screen to drop down low to get the shot so yeah and there’s times that I take both of them with me with zoom and one with a wide lens

I agree with most of your picks, with just one debatable remark You called the Fuji X100 V "X100 vee" and yet you called the Sony A7 IV "A7 Four"brbrI know Fuji used letters as the suffix for the X100 series cameras before this one, but wasn't the X100V the 5th generation of this camera? If this is the case the V should be called FivebrbrFuji later issued the X100 VI and no one calls it X100 " Vee - I"😊

Excellent thought provoking video! My dilemma is that I am a dyed in the wool Canon Wildlife shooter with bonkers investment in this! I am looking for a good travel camera and perhaps a switch in direction to this plus street So I am perplexed as to why Fujifilm are so slow in producing new gear like the X100v - I was offered a new one, but held my breath for its replacement - but no sign of this Meanwhile I struggle to justify the Leica Q3 Is it REALLY worth it!? The Canon EOS M50 MkII with the EF-M 22 mm f/20 STM is still a really compelling option even though the M line is more or less EOL, under $1000 for the package But the new Nikkor Z DX 24 mm f/17 changes the playing field for this market segment

Chris if you’re gonna go older why didn’t you go the Olympus EM5m2 Arguably as retro-lovely looking as the Fujifilm, 16mp is still fine, has great IBIS, had heaps of great features (hi-res, live view etc), and is smaller than the Fujis with OVF Also for far less money you can spend money on the important lenses
