You get charged the conversion fee on purchase as well though so all US sales to your CAD currency etsy is getting charged 25

thanks i`m in england i always worried about change from dollars to pounds, had my shop 11 yrs, been serious about it for 8 yrs,but in the end it will be just less confusing ! I suppose i was worried it might show my shop less in usa somehow?! but anyway i decided to change it, too much of a headache to keep thinking in dollars

Etsy has a much higher exchange rate than the official rate, so your buyers in a foreign country are having to pay way more than if they just paid with a credit card in the original currency, and I'm guessing that's another way Etsy makes more money

Kind of a bit off topic Do you find that Canadian Etsy shops have a bit of a disadvantage to sell to the US? Since Etsy has the filter system Most of my products I have printed in the States, so I can offer delivery from the US but in my shop it says it delivers from Canada, even though I have it in my shipping profile delivered from the States
