Did you find any recurrence of toning in the years since cleaning?? Comment from : @frankmitchell7328 |

I'd call it a success! Those coins look amazing compared to what they did look like I found to get rid of the haziness to use MS-70, it makes them look like new and it removes the haziness from the field of the coins I used it on a couple of proof silver coins and proof pennies and it works great to get rid of the haze 💯🙏🇺🇲 Comment from : @Rob_Coins |
|
I've tried everything to get rid of the white spots on silver, I don't know what it is but everything I've used except for acid, doesn't faze it I don't think you can get rid of the white without totally ruining the coin I don't clean any of my good coins, just the one's that are worthless and I want to display I don't recommend anyone to clean their coins I just don't want to display a grimy dingy looking coin I've never tried this stuff you're using, I'm going to have to get some and maybe save me a little time PS- I don't recommend cleaning of good coins, PERIOD! 💯🙏🇺🇲 Comment from : @Rob_Coins |

I think they turn out a little better if you drop the coins right into the cleaner for a full 10 seconds & use something plastic to give it a stir like a plastic knife / fork / spoon or straw Or pop the lid back on & the cleaner & shake a little , Just to help it break up the stubborn dirt & stains , Only time I use it is on really Nasty coins & Not on Key Date coins Comment from : @sandman_7326 |

I need some opinions I have an uncirculated capped bust dime that has toned to a black color It's a beautiful coins but it's hard to see the details bc of the toning I just bought ezest You can tell the coin has went through all colors of the rainbow and ended up black You can still see some rainbow colors at certain angles Should I dip it or should I leave it black? It's in my type set and it's an eye sore I think bc all the others are blast white Like I said it is unc but it's just black Any opinions on it is appreciated Comment from : @Mikey-xw7yo |

I have an uncirculated 1921 peace dollar with really ugly, distracting, dark blobs of toning I’m usually a huge fan of toning, but on this example the toning is decidedly detrimental to the overall eye-appealbrbr I generally do not clean coins with the exception of restoring crusty ancients with distilled water I’m considering making the leap with my 1921 (after experimenting on lots of junk silver for practice), but I’m still having a hard time accepting that cleaning of any kind is, in fact, ok brbrI also wonder if my result might be similar to that modern, German silver you dipped I don’t want to ruin a moderately expensive coin, but removing that distracting toning would definitely boost eye appeal ten-foldbrDo you have any words of advice, or comments? |
This stuff is great on surface issues but things that got below the surface or effected the coins barrier will never come off if it got below that threshold Milk spots never come off nor do red stops on gold coin because that from contamination in the minting process and its inside below the surface and is apart of the coin but can still grade out because its not after the fact and a Minting issue not a damage issue or after the fact cleaning etc Comment from : @dougm370 |

I love this stuff Just like Christian said I use it on my junk silver that really has no value other than the silver content It makes it look much better, that's just a preference of mine Also you can use a soft toothbrush very gently to get the coins even cleaner (Beware the rotten egg, sulfur smell) LOL Comment from : @roybaker3945 |

Couple things First off, you have to dip a coin or two in order to figure out what works and what doesnt But VERY IMPORTANT DON'T DIP SILVER COINS in EZEST AFTER you dip brass/copper/other alloys in that ezest Comment from : @COINTABLEChrisTisdale |

have you tried to clean silver coins with aluminum foil? is that method destructive? Comment from : @paulosmetal |
|
I enjoyed your experiment today All the coins looked significantly better except possibly the one Kennedy half With my coins, I'd rather have the ones that aren't worth much of anything clean and shiny Basically no one sees them but me, and the nicer they are, the move enjoyment I get from them Most any coin I have that is worth much doesn't need any type cleaning anyway Clean away! ;-) Comment from : @getx1265 |
