I prefer sleeves up Messing with sleeves is a time-waster which quickly turns to boredom, imo I think sleeve work is unnecessary and adds nothing to the trick Up, down, either way, leave them alone and just do the trick! Cheers!

Regarding sleeves or not…brThe best magic is short and clean If you give them sleeves, you are asking them to consider the sleeves as an excuse You want to remove all possible excuses The less patter the better brThis means that rolled up sleeves, or short sleeves is more convincing without the need to stare the obvious brAgain, the less said, the better brThis does not address the subject of professional music attire That is determined by the setting If this is a working scenario, like in a nice club or dinner setting, start by rolling the sleeves a few turns brIf this is a casual event, begin with short sleeves

I think clothing should fit the circumstances, it doesn’t make sense to have long sleeves on a hot beach, and it doesn’t make sense to wear a tux to a ski resort, so the more your clothing fits the circumstances the less suspicious you are

I can see both points of view when you’re at a major corporation presentation and you dress up for the presentation but I would just as easily show up as I always do wearing street clothes and my shirt sleeves pushed up because I always wear my long sleeve shirts pushed up slightly up my forearms that’s just the way I’m more comfortable with just in life in general not only in performing magic but just doing anything so although I can see the point in dressing up nice for a big corporation for for a big gig I can also see the point of just wearing street clothes and pushing up your sleeves to look more casual I like more casual

Sleeves up, sleeves down As a magician I dont really worry how I look (mainly because I've been poor and homeless) so comfortablility is keen That being said sometimes it's good for people to think you has something up your sleeve It creates psychological distraction On the other side You could also incorporate them feeling your arms and checking your sleeves thus confirming the legitimacy of your clothing and expanding the "wow" factor for those who believe they know what is happening
