Hola Jon, origen de "Luca" es en la época colonial española en Chile, bien, antiguamente en uno de los lados de una moneda aparecía la imagen de un ilustre hombre con aquellas pelucas, (ese lado de la moneda es "cara"), y el chileno empezó a llamar a aquella moneda "peluca", con el tiempo poco a poco la palabra se transformó en "Luca", así y muchas otras palabras se le adjudicaron a las monedas en Chile,brSaludos amigazo

It might be interesting if you checked out Rick Steves, he does European trips and travel videos, you might like his style He is very well known everywhere Good point about the money Unfortunately the last time I went to Santiago, I got ripped off by some of the taxis, some charged me twice as much for the same distant and my Spanish is pretty good I have heard from friends that have traveled to Santiago that they loved the metro system and did not need a car, plus it is expensive (gas, tolls, etc) like you said Thanks again for another great video

In Canada we the Loonie $100 and the Toonie $200 When I visit the US I am so careful with the money because it all looks the small In Canada our money comes in different colours Visitors call our currency monopoly money which I don`t mind because it`s easier to handle

Have you ever wondered why the money is of different color and sizes? In USA blind people cannot distiguish the dollar bill from a 5 or 100 dollar bill because it's the same size and they are pushing to change that You have a point about familiarizing yourself with the Chilean slang they use for money, it can get confusing

Yeah, some currencies have really high denominations on the notes that they use everyday!brI like when countries like Canada, chile, etc, colour their notes so you can tell immediately how much you're paying! I think GBP£ and the EURO have different sizes to their bills as well to make it even easier!
