Lincoln cents from 1981 and older are the higher copper content, with that said there are a good number minted in 1982 With 1982 pennies now being made from zinc, the copper variety is easily found in pocket change There are a few minted by mistake on copper planchets going into 83,84 and i believe 1999 an example has been found and these dates are very rare and collectable
