Java is verbose and ur forced to use oop which makes it easier for large teams to be able to pop in and out people to do the same tasks but there’s a lot of unecessary typing and abstractions which makes u give up trying to understand what connects to what which only exacerbates the problem of bad code

I feel java syntaxes makes much more sense to me because it has all of those keywords necessary for you to understand that what did you initialised, and compare to python I think it is best to create different objects each time makes you feel that yeah you are writing some long ass codes and oops at the beginning of java will create a strong foundation for other language oops so for me it is kinda 10/10 and python is 8-9/10 i just expressed my opinion that's all

In my experience, using Java (SpringBoot) to create microservices is great! Lots of typing and syntax, and overall really strict but it's great when you're taking over another developer's project because it's easier to see and understand the code

Why would you hate Java? It's the best compiled object language the 80's can give you! It protects you from stupid programmer errors by requiring words (oh so many words!) and severely limiting the constructs you can use so you can't be too cleva for your own good! Java knows what's best for you!

Like the problem lf java is that its just wrird and lacks a lot of QoL features, abd the documentation is fucking terrible, like they dont even have properties, which as a object oriented language is just weird, and theres a lot of other oddities, generally other languages just make for a better and easier job, ever just as verbose ones such as C#brI particularly like the verbosity of C# since it lets you know exacly whats going on, it has not too little abstraction like C or Go or too much like Python

Past trauma is real, it was one of the languages (along with cobol and asm) that I had to learn during my studies, and admittedly it was taught in a very bad way Still nailed the exams tho, despite almost nonexistent attendance on my partbrbrBut I mainly hated it due to how confusing the ecosystem was for a newcomer Guess that’s the same for almost any programming ecosystem, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth

Yes, it sucks Despite being sort of slow because of the JVM, and sort of heavy for the same reason, it's still incredibly messy AND verbose, while other langs on that tier of slowness/high-levelness aren't as heavy, nor messy, nor as verbosebrEssentially is a very bad "bang for buck" ratio in terms of computing resources vs usability / development time / code maintenance costs

One of the first languages I got super deep into at school I created a Mock OS called FireStar as one of my last projects, had desktop icons, a functioning science calculator, and I even embeded another friends game into it and had a rudimentary command promptbrbrBefore you ask, yes It was more like a game, and not a real OS, no Kernel or anything like that But at the time it was extremely fun
