I believe this is because ad companies don't pay as much for the ads to show, because most gaming youtuber fans are normally 9 year olds who are not making a lot of money, so company don't pay as much because that is profitable, so this is a fair cpm

yes and no Yes, cause a lot of the big ones got partnership deals or something like that so they get more money in another ways, but no cause the small channels try to get more views and subscribes to get the same deals that the big channels So, it is fair to a point you just get work harder if you a small channel

I've always assumed a CPM of $050 for gaming so $140 actually sounds good to me! Most gaming channels don't get a majority of their direct income from CPM though They sell merch, use affiliate links, and promote products as wellbrbrAs for is $140 a fair rate, I think gaming videos, as a category, probably get the most views on YouTube (besides music) But I also think gaming is likely the most oversaturated category as well so supply and demand 🤷‍♂️brbrAlso I'm not really sure how I can even help to change the CPM rate for a category So there's not much I can do if they change it anyway lol

I don't know I find it funny you mentioned pewdiepie, he doesn't do gaming much anymore, also minecraft pays less so many people do minecraft vids, and use minecraft as example for gaming, there is so much more to gaming channels than minecraft, I do verity of games and get cpm way higher than that, look at Markiplier he does all types of game content and does very well

It’s certainly not ideal, but that likely has to do with the sample size of people in the gaming niche vs other types There are lots of different sub-types of gaming all with different audiences
