I use an adblocker and pay for YouTube premium to get away from all the ads I also shop mostly at Aldi and buy their house brands over name brands because of price and quality I buy cheap clothes based on fabric texture and avoid anything with a name brand label except for shoes as generics are not as comfortable I am a waste of advertising Even still, I probably see less than 100 ads a day

In my entire life I think that ads have only resulted in me wanting a products a handful of times and only buying the product maybe once or twice These have been one time purchases of products that were actually useful for me though brFrom a purely personal perspective, I just find it so hard to understand how commercials can have such a huge effect on the market that they would spend so much money on it

I haven't seen an ad in 15 years I thank my lucky stars every day of my life for discovering powerful ad-blocking both at the application & network levels I an bconvinced/b it has added at least 5 full years to my life, both from a physical & mental health perspective And from a bliteral/b perspective, too But that we're exposed to 10,000 ads a day may very well be pure nonsense That's too much I did the calculation, and even if each ad was 15 seconds, that means I'd have been exposed to 2476 years of ads in just 15 years It doesn't make sense Even if the ads were b5 seconds/b in length, that's 13 years of ads in a 15 year period It's simply BS
