Sometimes I eat a little more food if the scale is on a plateau Sometimes I think my body is into avoiding starvation mode Usually 2 days late I will have dropped a couple of pounds I would have gone back to my normal eating after that 1 day of eating extra

I have been able to go from drinking a lot of soda pop down to just drinking a third of a liter per day and now if I want pop, I only take a sip I am drinking more water

Thanks for sharing When I am focused on losing weight, I weigh myself every day for motivation I hope to start a weight loss journey in March I really would like to do omad I don’t think that could be possible until summertime when I’m not working You doing amazing and I am very much inspired

I'm the opposite I've done the daily thing before and it made me obsess about eating and weight, which is bad for me Bi-weekly is good for me Started in July, down about 40 pounds, but my focus is on eating healthy and moving more and keeping my bloodwork results in the healthy range I plan to live this way for the rest of my life rather than thinking of what I'm doing as being on a diet We each gotta do what works for us Appreciate your sharing your experiences

I weigh every day and track my food every day I like to be able to go back and see what my meals were like when my weight was trending downwards brI think you're using the scales in a good way, Dawn!

I use to weigh every day But I got lax about it and gained So back to weighing every day I was eating carnivore and not losing I upped the fat and weight came down a bit It is a tool

I weigh daily as well I understand that’s it’s not good for some people- but it helps me stay on track much better! I know that we fluctuates a little every day and that ok, but as you said, it helps you catch a trend before all of the sudden your clothes get tight…because I can gain 10-15 pounds without actually noticing on my body

Justif you know you've done good, don't beat yourself up if your weight fluctuates day by day Especially if you're losing less than 1 pound per week (slow weight loss is fine btw), your weight will fluctuate day by day The trendline is more importantbrbrSource: I have logged my body weight every day for almost 2 years now

i always put on a few pounds in the winter and when i am actively trying to lose it i always track my progress with daily weigh ins for me maintaining is always a lot harder than losing the weight

Remember (and this might be helpful) Dr Berry has said in the past that for women especially (although I don't know it might happen occasionally for men too), that women's weight tends to fluctuate up and down moreso So if we see it happen to go up a bit at times, it just might be a normal weight fluctuation

I weigh myself every morning around the same time It keeps me focused also I know some people think it’s obsessive but we also brush our teeth daily too, right ? 😂brIt’s just part of my routine brI think it’s best to weigh everyday brI’m like you, I might be up a pound and I know it could be water weight, or I ate wrong the day before and I can get refocused 😊

Isn't it exciting when we figure out what's working for us? Through the years I've tried all different uses of the scale I've tried weighing every day, Every other day, Once a week, Once a month, Once every 3 months LOL Over the past year I settled on once a month I tend to get freaked out when I see lots of fluctuation yet hormones, stress, illness, and what I'm eating can all make the scale yo yo too much for my self-esteem LOL Thankfully a whole year weighing once a month help to me maintain my weight exactly If I were actively trying to lose weight I might weigh more often
