Mr Obum, I really do not agree with you that improving your earthing has anything to do with billingbrbrThe principle of billing meter is simply taking advantage of the current flowing in your live supply wire which has an electromagnetic field around it If you take a small insulated wire and coil it around that your live wire, you will notice that a current will flow in that small wire Infact if you twist the insulated wire like up 1000 times around that supply wire the current that will flow will become very noticeable enough that it can even light up a low watt bulb Note that this only happens when current is flowing through that your main live wire (as in you are consuming electricity in the house) brbr So, if you are consuming average of 10A for 5hrs, your meter may only get a small fraction 10A flowing in the coil I mentioned above The coils are usualy set at ratios say 5/100, meaning that as you are consuming 10A, the current in the coil (wrapped wire) would be 05A (10/100 x5) So your meter getting 05A will still record as it as 10A consumed over 5hrs giving 50AHrs and consequently record a consumption of 11KWhrs (50AH x 220Volts) And also deduct in monetary terms (naira per KWH) from your accountbrbrYou can see that whether your house is earthed or not, this process will take place I hope this is not viewership stunt
