This is so true! A few weeks before I turned 14, (November 2024) I got a new savings account You get interest on it every 3 months, and on December 31st (the 3 month mark) I only got 12 cents… I had 480 dollars in the account So, “A handful of Pennies” is the most relatable thing I’ve ever heard

Savings accounts haven't had any real value or continued reason to exist in over 30 years All they do is tie up your money for no reason If you had enough money for the interest to add up to anything meaningful, you could have an investment manager getting you far more anyway even after you pay them a fee
