@Stephenwc
These were excellent questions - and I got more incorrect than correct but understand well the rationales
Comment from : @Stephenwc

@LindaVanGalder-jt6yf
I didn't finish the full test because after six questions I had only gotten the first question correct and so being that I am at an early B1 level it came as no surprise that I didn't pass this Later when I have covered more material I will come back and retake the entire thing The subjunctive really throws me off still and your questions were very well written and thought provoking
Comment from : @LindaVanGalder-jt6yf

@vandanalalwani5971
Any native spanish speaker here willing to converse with me in spanish 😭🤝
Comment from : @vandanalalwani5971

@davidrachlin3557
I got 9 out of 12, and one was just a stupid mistake, forgetting that "mal" would take the subjunctive in #2 Duh!
Comment from : @davidrachlin3557

@sharonthompson6180
La mayoría de las personas prefería--because personas is object of the preposition "de"--mayoría is singular and is the subject of the sentence
Comment from : @sharonthompson6180

@gailbudd6720
Sola una pregunta mal 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Comment from : @gailbudd6720

@nigelblanchard5571
I also thought that Acabar is often expressed as "to end up doing something" and is often or not put in the past so does that give any value on C???
Comment from : @nigelblanchard5571

@mandylavida
My driving instructor used to say to me -You really learn to drive after you have taken your test It's the same with almost all exams
Comment from : @mandylavida

@Justmechillin07
This is very nice but I was wondering if these are for Latin American Spanish or Spain Spanish or both
Comment from : @Justmechillin07

@ministryoftruth8588
?Como es posible puedo pasar nivel A2 sin demasiado problemas, pero CADA de mis repuestas en nivel B1/B2 fueran equivocado? ?Es el razon porque, he aprendido espanol completemente solo sin escuela formal? Llevo ANOS estrancado en el nivel A2 Quizas ese sea el limite que alguien que no es un genio puede aprender por si mismo, y es hora de que vaya a la escuela o contrate un tutor
Comment from : @ministryoftruth8588

@beckypomaville694
#11) why could the answer not be C? Wouldn't the present indicative also work in that case? Please These are the things I need to iron out in my Spanish Muchisimas Gracias
Comment from : @beckypomaville694

@whatscrackinboys
So if I only got 5 right, I need to bump down to b1? 😅

Comment from : @zsoltpapp3363

@geraldhoffmann7344
Tengo una pregunta Numero 2, "Esta pregunta mal formulada" El verbo en esa frase se refiere a "formulada" y no a "mal" porque la pregunta no se siente mal Además la pregunta ya no se puede cambiar más Entonces yo usaría "es" en este caso ¿Tiene lógica?
Comment from : @geraldhoffmann7344

@paulmaglio9254
115/12 (I too was a bit conflicted with 11 since I've seen it both ways, but he was correct

Muchas gracias
Comment from : @padmavani6802

@marcosreal11
Suppose we change “la mayoría de las personas” to “una de las personas” Definitely singular Or if we write “un grupo de personas” this is also singular as we are only talking about one group of people Also the rule for these constructions is to look at the noun before “de” (for example when we make plurals from phrases like “un vaso de agua”) So even though it is common usage to look to “las personas” for the plural, it is still wrong Interesting question!
Comment from : @marcosreal11

@sambell2152
I wish the test focused less on grammar and more on effective communication
Comment from : @sambell2152

@tandysimmons143
I enjoyed this! !Muchas gracias!
Comment from : @tandysimmons143

@stevedavenport1202
The only problem that I have with this test is that it is biased towards Spanish from Spain I speak Latin American SpanishbrbrSo, according to the grammatical rules of your first question, if you say "Hace mucho que" you literally mean "It's been a long time since" So, what this means is that, at the precise moment when you are talking to somebody, you are implying that you still haven't seen this person, tasted a certain food, traveled to a certain place, etcbrbrSo, a native speak of Latin American Spanish would say "Hacia mucho que no veia a Rosa, pero acabo de verla por la calle"literally "It had been a while since I'd seen Rosa but I just saw her on the street"brbrIf you want to get slangy, you could say, "Tenia un buen que no veia a Rosa pero acabo de verla por la calle"
Comment from : @stevedavenport1202

@tcbramblett617
This hurt my head, and sent me back to my lessonsbrI got to the point were I guessed the opposite of what I thought, and that worked often lol
Comment from : @tcbramblett617

@juanito1195
This video took me 2 hours to complete as I kept pausing to research so many things you discussed! Muchas gracias
Comment from : @juanito1195

@glgartman
I love almost everything I have seen in your videos, but I don't think reading all the answers aloud is a good idea It's better not to hear an incorrect expression Reading the correct answer afterward emphasizes it and sets it apart
Comment from : @glgartman

@intramotus
This is great and very useful quiz because each question makes a distinction Well done !
Comment from : @intramotus

@Grazie7
For 7, why is this in an intermediate test? This is an advanced concept I studied Spanish for years and lived in Spain, and I never heard this rule
Comment from : @Grazie7

@cho3446

Comment from : @ghoghth1574

@monkey5878
I’m at around level B1 but I got half of these right :)
Comment from : @monkey5878

@lisaweinlader1943
Regarding the use of "ser" with location, one might also say that it's correct when it means "to take place"
Comment from : @lisaweinlader1943

@Dinessincric
5th one is confusing can it be A as well? Queridos professores
Comment from : @Dinessincric

@apollyon1157
“Lucas didn’t come today He’ll be busy”… is it cuz im American or why did they say “he’ll be busy” when they’re giving a reason why Lucas didnt come? Shouldn’t it be “he’s busy”? I wonder if thats a British thing
Comment from : @apollyon1157

@RamilCastillo1640
Watching here from the Philippines It is very helpful to us who are not native Spanish speakers Muchissímas gracias a ambos
Comment from : @RamilCastillo1640

Comment from : @Murray9452

@shahanhasan2504
I got 4 wrong(No2,4,9 & 11) 😔brSo,guess I need to keep practicing more and more,which I'm doingbrAnyway,thanks a lot to you guysbrSaludos
Comment from : @shahanhasan2504

@LegoCityFilms
I feel like some of the questions are too vague, like "he will be busy" also works as "he's a busy person" when you think about itbrbrAnd like for me, I wouldn't say "Lucas hasn't came yet, he will be busy," not something I would saybrbr7/12, I've done better, idk felt like it could've been more specific but good test on grammar
Comment from : @LegoCityFilms

@fridafuggedal5721
The grammar «tips» we get to remember, helps me a lot👍Thank you🌷
Comment from : @fridafuggedal5721

@angelit0_7
Teniendo en cuenta que soy español no se muy bien la razon por la que dudaba de aprobar este test xd
Comment from : @angelit0_7

@michaeltietjens465
Can you explain question 10, if you use subjunctive the answer is B, otherwise it is C Can you explain this?
Comment from : @michaeltietjens465

@lucas-vq4ib
Como hablante nativo del español, creo que la 12 suena muy raro, lucas no ha venido hoy suena como si estuviera en pasado, por eso creo que podria ser:brLucas no ha venido hoy (El) estaba o estuvo (si es pasado) o esta (presente) ocupadobrSino puede ser tambien:brLucas no vendra hoy (El) estara ocupado
Comment from : @lucas-vq4ib

@noora3144
them in question 9: talking abt whether its a or bbrme: i thought it was c 👁👄👁
Comment from : @noora3144

@olivebre4170
Pretty sure i'm a beginnerbrbrBut bruh! Number 7 I got right because I went- "would it be Será with Mary and Josphe in the Bible" (as that is my spanish marriage knowledge)brbrSo I was like "Okay será sounds like it fits but I'mma be annoyed if it's actually A"
Comment from : @olivebre4170

@daylex_senpai
En la 1ra pregunta, he usado las oraciones A y C en varias ocasiones, supongo que ambas son correctas para mí jajaja
Comment from : @daylex_senpai

@lw4423
I didn't fully understand the reasoning for "La pregunta esta mal formulada" because when we say "estoy bien", "bien" is an adverb describing our temporary state of being (hence the verb "estar"), but in that example "mal" is an adverb describing "formulada", so part of an adjective clause describing the permanent state of "la pregunta", so I thought it should be "es" instead of "esta"
Comment from : @lw4423

@gabrielacarlon3953
Hello! I've got a question in number 12 I guess it sounds weird using estará ocupado It would sound better if you say Lucas no ha venido hoy Está ocupado
Comment from : @gabrielacarlon3953

@matiasanello1455
La número nueve puede ser opción A y opción C Dependiendo el contexto de la charla
Comment from : @matiasanello1455

@naishalubega3756
😭😭😭 feel like i lost a jackpot 😭😰🥺💔💔💔failed 6got 6
Comment from : @naishalubega3756

@mikebrown6081
Man, # 7 through me for a loop I got it right but i kept going back and forth - stating this is a very important event that's been put together It just has to be sera' lol Thankfully, your reasoning matched mine
Comment from : @mikebrown6081

@sweetunicorn6727

This is the first time I am watching your videos because I was curious to know how a foreign person learns Spanish As a native Spanish speaker I would say that your content is incredible, you reminded me when I was in high school and some teachers tried to explain all these rules… keep up the good work! 💕
Comment from : @katherincastillo4806

@xXRaspberryBeretXx
Hola a ambos ¿Puedes ayudarme a entender #11 por favor? I didn’t know what tense the question was in so found it hard to choose an answer Couldn’t C work too?
