Inspiring me back to when I was a little kid, I had an international book of currency, some confederate money too, Chinese coins, and a little gold piece Well, our house burnt down when I was about 16 Lost all of it But God is the real treasure I learned Glad we don’t have to rely on earthly wealth, just faith and trust in Jesus Never forget that This stuff can all be gone in a poof of smoke Stack on, but don’t trust your wealth to save you Only Jesus can do that

Giving proper, well curated information is very important The coin shown is a Ptolemaic Tetradrachm, these were used exclusively in Egypt, they operated a closed monetary system, so coins couldnt leave the country, and this particular type, likely from Ptolemy IX, was struck HUNDREDS of years before the time of christ Not everything is worth a nice, clickbatey title

Ummm, the silver shekel of Tyre was not used in regular commerce It was the coin used for donation to the Temple in Jerusalem It was mandated that coin be used by the Romans (to mock the Jews) which as mentioned, was in violation of Jewish law as it portrayed a human and animal Thats why there were " money changers" as Jews on pilgrimage would have to exchange their provincial coins for silver Roman shekels

I like videos on ancient coins, but I do have a few concerns The first coin doesn’t appear to have the standard Melkart face seen on Tyrian shekels It looks more like a Ptolemaic or Seleucid kingdom coin brbrAlso, Phillip III was actually Alexander the Great’s brother Their father was Phillip II and he used Zeus (not Heracles) on his coinage

So that is an Egyptian Ptolemaic tetradrachm, it's not a Phoenician Tyrian shekel, still a really awesome Tetradrachm but it isn't the shekel of tyre

Those are beautiful coins Although widows mite is not a very expensive coin, all those are very good examples that I could see going for 50-200$ They’re usually 10-20$ for an unrecognizable piece of bronze the shekel is also my favorite and I would send them in for grading That coin can easily go for more than a thousand A thousand is common but they can go for a few more

You know what i thought, was a slap in the face I saw that one of the online bullion dealers was selling a silver Nativity set i think it was SD Bullion but it wasnt made by them just sold by them i have nothing against them It weighed 30z it kind of rubbed me the wrong way not gonna lie Its on there right now if u wanna check jt out kinda cool but id rather get the Bull and Bear set instead i think the fact that the Nativity set is 30z is kinda rude Bahahahaha

I’m not so sure you are correct At that time 30 pieces of Silver was what is in the Bible Now prior to that Jesus was tried to be tricked with a coin that had Caesars face on it Bible verse states Jesus saying who’s face is on that coin, Caesars was the reply, than give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is Gods Bullion and Coins Bullion representing the pieces Dudes, if go go to church services and bible studies you’ll get your correct answers
