Two books I learned a lot from when starting out are “Introduction to Coin Magic” by Shigeo Futagawa (1978) and the chapters“Hand Magic with Coins” and “The Miser’s Dream, and Other Great Coin Tricks” in “The Amateur Magician’s Handbook” by Henry Hay (1950 and later reprintings) On retrospect, they were both what I needed when I needed them

I have Roths expert coin magic I think his deep backclip coins across is great but really challenging Ive never seen anybody do it before

Great video Rick I actually started with Self Working Coin Magic by Fulves and Modern Coin Magic DVD set I feel the videos show the nuances that have to be seen instead of just read Once you understand the nuances the books are your best bet Thanks again for the info!

Terrific video It's what motivated me to purchase Dr Rubinstein's Coin Magic brbrHaving purchased Bobo's, Kaufman's Roth's Expert Coin Magic, and Dr Rubinstein's Coin Magic, I later discovered Al Schneider Magic (because I wanted to learn The Matrix) Al Schneider Magic contains all the material from Al Schneider on Coins, plus card magic, and cups and balls routines Knowing what I know now, from the perspective of a coin beginner, I'd buy Al Schneider Magic (or Al Schneider on Coins) before before Coin Magic, which I think is geared more toward intermediate to advanced coin workers

This video is sorely needed As someone just getting into coin magic, it's so hard to find a video recommending books that even touches coin magic, let alone focuses solely on it I recently got a hold of Roth's Expert Coin Magic and am currently working my way through that, but I'm putting basically all the books you mentioned on my tbr So, thanks for thisbrI don't have an interesting first book sadly, but I really love the coin material in Stars of Magic, especially Bertram's Passing the Half-Bucks, which I adapted and use all the time

Excellent books! They're all so good in their own ways, but I bought Doug Brewer's book from your recommendation in another one of your videos and it is one of my absolute favorites I felt the same way about the routines in there as you did They just spoke to mebrbrGreat stuff!
